  1. Hey Phil, click on the 247 link. Are you a troll or just technologically challenged?
  2. Just watched his high school highlights. He is a ball hawk and likes to hit. Sign me up.
  3. His high school had a down year, but he is a solid WR. It looks like he was previously committed to Texas State and recruited by Clay Jennings. I watched his tape against my high school, he has speed and decent hands. 45 Rec 694 yards 6 TDs 75 Carries 514 yards 5 TDs
  4. I think he was a walk on. Please correct me if I am wrong. Best of luck to him!
  5. He declared for the draft
  6. Not true in my industry. It's just annoying business jargon that executives and consultants like to use. Even though they don't know the best practices to use.
  7. Yes, there have been a few times over the years they beat us out for recruits. I'm getting old but I remember losing a WR from Desoto during the McCarney years and a DL Terrell Cooper from Lindale that's currently starting for them.
  8. Why not North Texas?
  9. Jon Cooper was the center at OU during Todd Dodge's first game at UNT. Jon knows what a bad defense looks like and how to take advantage of it. The center is usually the QB of the OL. Do I wish he had a little bit more OL coaching experience? Yes Did the guy play center in college and the NFL? Yes While he was coaching OL at Western Carolina, they averaged 150 yards rushing and 320 yards passing a game. Also in the below link, it mentions his time working with Josh Heupel. Josh Heupel is one of the best offensive minds in football right now. If he worked under him, I imagine he learned quite a bit. https://catamountsports.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/jon-cooper/1284 Not that my opinion matters, but I think this will end up being a good hire.
  10. I have a hot take about baseball. We have enough of it and it's boring. I'm sure this will piss off some of the people that want a baseball program. Why not grow the current sports more? I bet the average baseball fan couldn't name the last few College WS champs.
  11. I would like to see the staff go after this guy. He's currently in the portal and I think he has 1 year to play. His completion percentage was right around 60%. Apparently the Tulsa OL was terrible last year and that's part of the reason why he had high INTs. This would be a good player to start for 1 year while Morris works to get his future QB in here. I think Stone would be an interesting option as well. I'm not sure what to think about Gunnell. He played decent as a Freshman at Arizona. I hope he gets a fair chance this spring. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4362365/davis-brin

  13. I was just there and counted 3 UNT shirts. Overpriced store with a crap selection.
  14. To be fair, our last DL coach didn't have a lot of experience. He does have Texas ties at least. I'm not going to judge until later in the season, but it seems to be that we are going after young guys.
  15. Yep, I remember him tagging along with Seth on a few.
  16. I like the DC hire. I'm not sure what to think about the LBs coach. He doesn't have a lot of experience coaching on the field. Hopefully the DL coach is a very experienced hire.
  17. Not shitting on his character. We were just making an observation. If some words on the internet offended you, bless your heart.
  18. He's not having a Happy New Year. Instead of running a reverse in, he overthrew the TE and KU loses in 3 OT to Arkansas.
  19. What a great guy! He leads on and off the field. Credit to the last staff for finding him.
  20. There are 15,000 members on this board. If we had a model where 10% of the board gave $25 a month to this "gomeangreen club", that's $450,000 a year. We could do something where we meet once a month during football season and once a quarter during the off-season. Maybe have random players/coaches/athletic department members speak to the group. With NIL, the players could get a small fee paid to them. Obviously, these are just ideas.
  21. Yeah, I definitely would be down to assist with something like this.
