  1. He’s massive, I feel for those small DL that were trying to get past him. I’m interested to see how his size translates to FBS football. I imagine they will get him on a nutrition plan to get him in shape for playing at this level. It’s a PWO so no risk. He could turn into a quality player for us in a few years or he never sees the field. Hopefully he comes in ready to work.
  2. I wasn't trying to start a taxes conversation, just making a general observation. Very happy for Jeff. Enjoy your millions!
  3. Just watched his HUDL video. They seem to put him in motion a lot. He does a great job blocking back or being a lead blocker on runs. Since we lost Asher to Cal, we will need a good run blocking TE. Additionally, he runs good routes. It seems he ran a lot of corner routes and was able to get open. Great hands in the few passes thrown his way. I'm wondering if Maxpreps is wrong on stats. They show only 3 games played, 5 receptions and 64 yards, 4 TDs. Edit: It was wrong. 12 Rec 182 yards 6 TDs
  4. It seems Gilbert, Cobbs, and Sean Brophy were recruiting him. He has a decent offer list. I'll watch his Hudl tape at some point.
  5. Does Jalie coach football?
  6. Not sure, I read conflicting information. Either way, his bonuses and at home pay will be more relative to San Francisco.
  7. Enjoy not paying state income taxes. Congrats Jeff!
  8. For everyone complaining, do you want to go back to Coach Mumbles and .500 football? Or do you want to try something new? Give the guy a chance.
  9. It looks like Greg Powers reads the board. https://www.texasfootball.com/article/2023/03/12/north-texas-junior-day-brings-an-abundance-of-txhsfb-talent-to-denton?ref=article_preview_title
  10. Nice list of prospects. A lot of guys from dominant high schools. I like it.
  11. It's nice that we have 4 guys who have at least started an FBS game and another who has at the FCS level. Let the best man win.
  12. It's a different walk on QB, Jaxx Warren. https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/roster/jaxx-warren/6067
  13. Not a horrible interview. Even though I am a subscriber, I'm not the biggest DCTF fan.
  14. I wonder if they will tell Morris that Texas State is closer to winning a conference championship than his North Texas squad. They were bashing the program just a month ago and now they have him on their podcast. Clowns
  15. Dang, Tom seemed to be coming on later in the season. I hope both of these guys get their degrees and succeed in whatever they decide to do.
  16. If they are able to monetize their social media accounts, there is a potential to make money. For instance, YouTube pays for views.
  17. Here's another great piece of work from Texas Football. They do the research so well. Put a few back up QBs ahead of our transfer Chandler Rogers.
  18. Good job is debatable. It has been noted in the past how they don't really do their research prior to doing podcasts. However, I will give them credit for this particular interview, it was enjoyable.
  19. Yes, this was discussed at length last month.
  20. The athletic department could do a better job promoting games in the community and on campus. Let's be honest, there are a lot of commuter kids and hipsters that attend UNT. Why not partner with the various colleges (business, education, sciences, etc.) to encourage attendance? Show proof you were at the game, get an extra credit grade (doubtful they would do that). Even just having signs or giving swag out on campus would do wonders. I remember when Dodge was fired, Chico went to the Golden Triangle Mall encouraging shoppers to go to the games.
  21. I can think of 4 JUCO guys that didn't qualify during the Seth era. I'm sure there are more, but that's a risk going after JUCO players.
