  1. It's fine to keep posting them. We're not going to let one immature student from out of state derail the threads. He's missing his home state (this time it's Kansas a few months ago it was NY) and lashing out at the fan base for attention. It's like dealing with a toddler. Something doesn't go their way, so they display an outlandish behavior to get attention.
  2. https://www.maxpreps.com/m/news/x3QnNG0Hm0m3qISaVhYRVQ/where-nfl-week-1-quarterbacks-went-to-high-school.htm While we are talking about out of state QBs, I found this interesting. I'm all for taking a kid from out of state, but we have so much in-state talent. Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and California kids are ok in my book. Bashing a QB that won a state championship with decent stats is definitely an unusual take. If you're serious about this, you should probably stop posting on this board. Recruits and their families read this. We want to attract talent and have a welcoming environment for them. If this is a bit, it's not funny. It shows your lack of self awareness and immaturity.
  3. Bless your heart buddy. One of these days your prefontal cortex will fully develop and the troll posts will stop.
  4. The Aledo QB has already committed to TCU. Texas A&M runs an ancient offense and has 2 QBs committed. SMU has a QB from Florida committed. If the staff develops him and we win a lot of games, I'm sure people will still find a reason to be unhappy and complain.
  5. He's coming off a 4A State Championship season where he passed for 3,201 yards and 37 TDs. He rushed for 454 yards and 6 TDs. I know QBs are not the only reason for wins and losses, but for comparison the QB we lost to UTSA won 4 games last year and the one we lost to Rice won 3 games. I watched a few minutes of his tape, and I was impressed. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12019628/631d4370345316040cfc8ffa
  6. Thanks for answering the questions posted on here. Great work!
  7. They become an independent and only play private schools lol. Jk who cares
  8. This was from the write up I did a few months ago. https://www.hudl.com/profile/16090317/Keon-Johnson/ Keon Johnson Archbishop Hoban High School Akron, Ohio OT 6’5 385 He’s massive, I feel for those small DL that were trying to get past him. I’m interested to see how his size translates to FBS football. I imagine they will get him on a nutrition plan to get him in shape for playing at this level. Keon chose North Texas over PWO offer from Bowling Green, scholarship offers from Maine (FCS) and Livingstone College (D2). His high school made it to the state championship. It looks like he went on a visit to Syracuse, but never got an offer. Overall, Keon has a high ceiling. He will need to shed some weight but has the frame to play at this level.
  9. 1. Will there be any surprise additions to the roster before the end of the summer? 2. I noticed that Damon Youngblood has not been added to the roster. Is he still part of the 2023 class? 3. Who do you think is QB1 against Cal?
  10. That pretty much sums up the whole magazine.
  11. Same here, I was looking forward to planning that trip.
  12. "Bob Huggins is regretting his decision to resign and wants his job back" Or the real headline here, "Bob Huggins is an alcoholic and needs help"
  13. Berkeley has average highs of 74 and lows of 52 right now. Those Cal boys are going to suffer. The Cal coach better drive them to Death Valley for practice that week.
  14. Commits to Mississippi State. Bummer, this guy can play.
  15. The one time I agree with Cougar Queen. A broken clock is right twice a day.
  16. That damn NIL and transfer portal are going to ruin our program, I tell ya!
  17. I got some sweet stickers lol
  18. I wasn't going to post this, but reading through this old thread had me laughing. It really sucks we didn't land him. Also, yes Caleb Johnson was a bust. Additionally, yes Seth Littrell was fired.
  19. Derek Thompson is also the OC and tagged in the tweet.
  20. Short flight from DFW, PAC 12 football, and they have a very young staff that relates to the players. I think Coach Samples son from Duncanville is the main Texas recruiter.
  21. Commits to Oklahoma St
  22. Lugo might end up being really good for UTSA, but he seemed to be more of a run first guy. I wasn't too upset we didn't land him. With the new era of college FB, I wouldn't mind if we take a portal QB every year. I know the staff wants to build Texas HS relationships. I'm all for taking a guy that maybe had an offer from us in HS, then decided to leave the great state and immediately regretted it. It's been said before, but this will be the first time in years that our QBs actually have a QB coach. For context, I am not bashing Quinn Shanbour. He was put in a tough spot as a GA/Analyst, and I think he will be a rising star with more coaching experience.
  23. Commits to UTSA I feel like the East Texas connections on the UTSA staff played a part in this.
