  1. It seems our coaches are excited about this commitment. I'm eager to find out as well.
  2. Harry, great job covering the event. I appreciate the context around each coach. Looking forward to hearing more about the premium service on GMG.
  3. I think Walk Ons don't appear until they're enrolled. I could be wrong, but I think this is the case.
  4. Thanks for the position group update. Great job! I look forward to reading these each week. It's crazy Iowa State had a 260 pound LB.
  5. Congratulations! Give the kids extra credit if they go to a football or basketball game and took a friend.
  6. So we had a 19% increase from last year, that's pretty good. We beat inflation year over year lol. On a serious note, if we can consistently win, the fans will come.
  7. I enjoy the interviews that you are having with the new commits. Since Beyond The Green is no longer a thing, we don't really get an inside look into the program. It's cool to hear who recruited them, and why they chose North Texas. The coaching staff interviews have been great as well. It's interesting to hear about their background and insights with the current team. During the season, it would be cool to maybe have a recap of how the current recruits are performing. I know someone on the board generally gathers this information.
  8. Nice job JD with the interview. Cash sounds like a great kid.
  9. It's great that we have so many connections to Texas HS football. Keep building those relationships with the coaching community and we will continue to add great talent.

  10. It's fine to keep posting them. We're not going to let one immature student from out of state derail the threads. He's missing his home state (this time it's Kansas a few months ago it was NY) and lashing out at the fan base for attention. It's like dealing with a toddler. Something doesn't go their way, so they display an outlandish behavior to get attention.
  11. https://www.maxpreps.com/m/news/x3QnNG0Hm0m3qISaVhYRVQ/where-nfl-week-1-quarterbacks-went-to-high-school.htm While we are talking about out of state QBs, I found this interesting. I'm all for taking a kid from out of state, but we have so much in-state talent. Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and California kids are ok in my book. Bashing a QB that won a state championship with decent stats is definitely an unusual take. If you're serious about this, you should probably stop posting on this board. Recruits and their families read this. We want to attract talent and have a welcoming environment for them. If this is a bit, it's not funny. It shows your lack of self awareness and immaturity.
  12. Bless your heart buddy. One of these days your prefontal cortex will fully develop and the troll posts will stop.
  13. The Aledo QB has already committed to TCU. Texas A&M runs an ancient offense and has 2 QBs committed. SMU has a QB from Florida committed. If the staff develops him and we win a lot of games, I'm sure people will still find a reason to be unhappy and complain.
  14. He's coming off a 4A State Championship season where he passed for 3,201 yards and 37 TDs. He rushed for 454 yards and 6 TDs. I know QBs are not the only reason for wins and losses, but for comparison the QB we lost to UTSA won 4 games last year and the one we lost to Rice won 3 games. I watched a few minutes of his tape, and I was impressed. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12019628/631d4370345316040cfc8ffa
  15. Thanks for answering the questions posted on here. Great work!
  16. They become an independent and only play private schools lol. Jk who cares
  17. This was from the write up I did a few months ago. https://www.hudl.com/profile/16090317/Keon-Johnson/ Keon Johnson Archbishop Hoban High School Akron, Ohio OT 6’5 385 He’s massive, I feel for those small DL that were trying to get past him. I’m interested to see how his size translates to FBS football. I imagine they will get him on a nutrition plan to get him in shape for playing at this level. Keon chose North Texas over PWO offer from Bowling Green, scholarship offers from Maine (FCS) and Livingstone College (D2). His high school made it to the state championship. It looks like he went on a visit to Syracuse, but never got an offer. Overall, Keon has a high ceiling. He will need to shed some weight but has the frame to play at this level.
  18. 1. Will there be any surprise additions to the roster before the end of the summer? 2. I noticed that Damon Youngblood has not been added to the roster. Is he still part of the 2023 class? 3. Who do you think is QB1 against Cal?
  19. That pretty much sums up the whole magazine.
  20. Same here, I was looking forward to planning that trip.
  21. "Bob Huggins is regretting his decision to resign and wants his job back" Or the real headline here, "Bob Huggins is an alcoholic and needs help"
  22. Berkeley has average highs of 74 and lows of 52 right now. Those Cal boys are going to suffer. The Cal coach better drive them to Death Valley for practice that week.
