  1. Other than the great Musers in the morning, the Ticket sucks now. Donnie is alright, but the new host Matt McLaren is just horrible. Very arrogant with generic sports takes. Sean Bass is a great UNT fan but his show is a work in progress (see what I did there). Corby is a Oklahoma, TCU (attended but didnt graduate), and SMU fan. He's obnoxious and over the top. Corby, Davey, and Bob just don't click. Bob has great knowledge but the other 2 don't add value.
  2. That me LOL at my desk.
  3. After the 2019 game against Cal Berkeley, I had one fan who was probably 15 or 16 come up to me and say North Texas sucks. I politely responded back, if we suck so much, how come it took you 4 quarters to beat a Conference USA school. The kid's response, silence. With that being said, Cal sucks. That's the post. GMG!
  4. They told me in 2019 to watch out for Antifa so I told them to watch out for the "God, Guns, and Trump" people in Denton. Apparently some of them were offended lol.
  5. I guess that's what I get for skimming NFL articles during work calls lol. I re-read the article and you are correct. He's on the bubble as the 6th WR.
  6. So I was reading the lists of cuts that were published by the NFL. It appears the following former UNT players have been cut. Additionally, Jaelon Darden is on the chopping block (another thread started and updated) for the Browns. If he doesn't make the team we will be 1-5-1 for players on the active roster. Kemon Hall- Los Angeles Chargers Nate Brooks- San Francisco 49ers La'Darius Hamilton- San Francisco 49ers Jordan Murray- Indianapolis Colts (early camp cut) One note to add, Jalen Guyton (Chargers) was added to the PUP list. So essentially, he won't be playing the first few weeks. The good news os that he's guaranteed his normal base salary while on the PUP list The one bright spot is Jeff Wilson Jr. He's been killing it as a Dolphin. I even added him to my fantasy football team on Saturday lol.
  7. Awesome, I hope the Athletic Dept continues to do things like this.
  8. How did the Morris offense go against Cal last year? Cam Ward threw for 343 yards and 3 TDs (also had 2 INTs). Washington St only had 72 yards rushing. Final Score Washington St 28 Cal 9 I know it will be different teams/personnel but it's interesting to see that his Air Raid System was able to put up 400 yards and 4 TDs.
  9. Rotating between water, Gatorade, Pedialyte, and light beer (keeping to a minimum this first week) in the parking lot. During the game, I am only drinking Water or Powerade. If I am too miserable, I will leave during the 2nd half and watch at a bar.
  10. We are 6 days away from this scorching hot matchup against the Cal Bears. Right now, we are looking at a high of 102. Our guys have been preparing in the heat for this matchup and I think they will be ready. Cal does have guys on the team from Texas and Arizona. While they are experiencing 75 degree temperatures in Berkeley this summer, I think their guys will be prepared for the heat. We are both implementing new offenses and starting QBs. I think both teams will have hiccups. Wilcox is a defensive guy, and previously faced the Morris offense. Cal is starting 4 new players in the secondary and one new LB. These were all transfer portal guys, so it should be interesting to see how they adjust. Our defense is shifting to a 3-3-5 with new faces at LB and Safety. Predictions: Even though Cal has been preparing for the heat, I think it's going to wear them down in the 4th quarter. Our workhorse backs and stout OL will eventually wear them down. We don't need Stone to be superman. Just keep moving the chains! UNT 35 Cal 28 What are your score predictions?
  11. So the update is that he's on the team?
  12. Or "hey guys, how about that Texas cold front?"
  13. That's Old New Denton mentality. We need you to get on that New New Denton mentality. Stone Cold Earle is about to hang 40 on Cal in that triple digit heat on September 2nd.
  14. I knew we would be young at LB this year. That's been a rather strong position in years past for us. Hopefully the lights come on for some of these young guys.
  15. Ts and Ps for Ray!
  16. Player updates: Starting Center battle between Ethan Miner and Daizon Carroll. Also a position battle with LBs. He didn't mention names (more details last week around this). Freshman WR Landon Sides getting a shout out. Damon Ward did as well. All 3 QBs are still getting reps. Rogers and Stone have been efficient. Ruder has the strongest arm of the 3.
  17. It's pretty telling when the 5 Freshman DBs are being mentioned by the staff. Not bashing either guy, but just saying this based on the media interviews with Morris. Morris said Miner was getting rotation with the ones during his last media session. The other 2 OL were back ups at their last schools, but I do think they will be in the 2 deep.
  18. Happy birthday!
