Me and my buddies would just sneak a flask in, and then regret it later.

We will take him, any additions to the secondary will help.

They should just sell it at the games, its not like people don't drink in the parking lots.

I Can't Help It - Smu Fans Talking About Unt
jtm0097 replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
What rhymes with SMU? BOOOOOOO! I loved yelling that at the SMU fans when they walked by me at the SMU/ UNT game. -
Eastern Michigan only averaged 5,016 people a game, they had the lowest attendance in the FBS. Im sure some D-III schools avearge more fans than that.
-
Can't go wrong with a cold Shiner Bock or Budweiser. I use to drink a lot of Bud Light, but then when I was poor in college I was a natty light fan.

I still can't take this idiot sports writer serious. His opinion is about as good as someone who thinks Utah left the WAC. Oh wait he was the one that said that.
-
Haha thats awesome.

Well Case Keenum will be gone, and we will be coming off of a New Orleans Bowl win.

Should league replace Boise? Now that Boise State has flown the coop to the more prestigious Mountain West Conference, where does the WAC look for a replacement? With eight remaining schools, the conference could certainly stand pat and move forward without adding a replacement -- which, frankly, seems like a pretty logical thing to do given the lack of potential candidates and the certainty that no one is going to be able to fill the shoes of the Broncos. But if the WAC decides to expand, where could it turn? Five western schools have been mentioned, according to Daniel Lyght of the Fresno Bee: Montana, Portland State, Sacramento State, Cal Poly and UC Davis -- all of which are I-AA schools and would have to upgrade their programs. Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News suggests North Texas, which is already a I-A school, would get the conference into recruit-rich Texas and would provide a travel partner (in nonrevenue sports) for lonely Louisiana Tech. Frankly, we're not sure any of these six teams makes any sense, unless the schedule makers could guarantee than none of the other WAC schools would have to travel to both North Texas and Louisiana Tech in the same season. Why lower the quality of your football by taking in a I-A newbie? Why not just soldier on with eight, and only expand if a more logical candidate emerges down the road?

North Texas Looking For Greener Pastures
jtm0097 replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
I wasn't even calling Graham Watson a dumbass. I was calling Ted Hutton from the South Florida- Sun Sentinel a dumbass. So you need to tap on the brakes before you try to criticize my comments, when you don't even know whats going on. -

That guy is an idiot, its amazing he is a sports writer. I left him a nice comment, I hope he reads it. "Man it seems like they let any dumbass write an article these days. You need to learn more about college football before you go on here writing fiction. If I remember correctly UNT had a 26 sun belt winning streak, yeah we have struggled the past 4 years, but we also dominated prior to that. Go Mean Green!" -
Hahaha no smirnoff

Either new stadium > than Fouts Field.

I had a buddy down at A&M telling me he saw him practice last year, and he wasn't impressed and no wonder we only won 3 games with him here. I told him, well I would still rather go to UNT than Broke Back Mountain, I mean A&M.
-
Haha I bet so, they bet on everything else.

Oh no your report was 9 minutes after mine, now I don't know who to believe

Well according to espn Sources: Departure to Pac-10 coming By Joe Schad ESPN Archive The departure of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac-10 is imminent, four sources within the Big 12 said Monday. One source said commissioner Dan Beebe's last-minute plan to save the conference has "zero" chance to succeed. Another source said it is "very unlikely" to succeed. Texas' interests in being aligned with the research opportunities and academic missions of Pac-10 schools is driving the decision, along with money. Beebe's last-ditch plan included an emotional plea about preserving rivalries and maintaining the best welfare of the student-athlete, one source said. Texas A&M is now most likely to join the SEC, a source within the Big 12 said. This move, in the wake of Colorado and Nebraska's departure, would further diminish the chance of Beebe's plan succeeding, one source said. Texas' decision is expected to come no later than Tuesday. One source familiar with Texas' plans suggested a hearing on Wednesday at the Texas House of Representatives is "a nonfactor." Joe Schad covers college football for ESPN. I don't know about yall but I dont think anyone knows what the hell is going on.

I googled Nebraska to big ten and this popped up. Report: Nebraska Accepts Big Ten Invite Updated: Friday, 11 Jun 2010, 1:35 PM CDT Published : Friday, 11 Jun 2010, 1:34 PM CDT LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska has officially accepted an invitation to join the Big Ten Conference, according to a report from the Omaha World-Herald. World Herald sports reporter Brian Norton reported the accepted invite in a live blog from the Nebraska board of Regents meeting at 1:23 p.m. CT Friday. Norton said Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany contacted Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe spoke Friday, and that the invitation was officially extended and accepted. The move means the Big Ten will jump from 11 to 12 teams, allowing the conference to split to two divisions and hold a championship game. To any University of Minnesota fan, the prospects of having Nebraska enter the Big Ten can be summed up by a single score: 84-13. That was the results of the clinic the Cornhuskers gave to the Gophers in a woefully memorable football game in 1983. “I think if you’re a fan and if you’re a fan of really good football, I think you gotta be excited about this,” said Gopher football broadcaster Dave Mona. “I think Nebraska has got the potential almost immediately to become a rivalry, I think the paper said this morning that they’ve played Minnesota more than any other Big Ten team.” In the past 50 years the two teams have played each other 15 times. The Gophers’ only victory came in a 24-16 game in Lincoln in 1960, the same season the Gophers won their first Rose Bowl berth. In every game since, Nebraska has manhandled the Gophers by a combined score of 567-126. Mona says bringing Nebraska into the Big Ten would certainly add to television revenues that the schools share—Minnesota would get a bigger cut of the money. But most important, Mona says it would increase the level of competition, and the Gopher athletic program would have to step up.
