  1. I love that we have coaches that are recruiting the defensive side of the ball so well.
  2. I heard Leavitt got hired on San Franciso.
  3. I would much rather a kid commit to a service academy then one of our rivals. Good luck in the Navy.
  4. Yeah I am serious, they have almost identical rivals rankings. Tate has a 5.9, and Sam has a 5.8. But Rival rankings don't always pan out. I am not impressed with Tate. I have friends from Michigan, that would always complain about him. I am not that worried if he transfers to MUTS.
  5. Akpunku to Navy This does not hurt as bad since we have had a few DE recruits commit to us.
  6. Sam Mcguffie went to U of M then transferred to Rice, and we didnt have a problem stopping him.
  7. Didn't this kid play at the JV level because Sunnyvale didnt have a varsity program? Not trying to knock the kid, but the speed is a lot faster from JV to FBS football.
  8. Tim Duffie is from my hometown of Jefferson, Texas. He played at Jefferson in the mid 90s and at Tech in the late 90s. His mom ran the cafeteria's for JISD. I think we have a chance in getting this kid. Tim recruited a kid from my hometown, that signed with Colorado State last year. The kid was a guy UNT was after as well. The kid ended up transfering to SFA at the end of this past semester.
  9. The coach who is recruiting him from Colorado State is an alumni of my high school. However with that being said, we should tell him that its too cold in Colorado come to Denton.
  10. Sounds like it was a great event. I hope this turns into some weekend commitments.
  11. I ran into Jamario a few weeks ago at the mall, and he was excited that I recognized him. His high school, was one of our rivals in football. We stopped him his junior year, but then his senior year he burned us for 100+ yards and a few touchdowns. He was always a friendly guy when I ran into him in Longview. Glad to hear he is doing well.
  12. Because they dont want to put black and yellow turf out.
  13. I talked to Tune at graduation in December, we were standing in line together. He told me that the medical redshirt process was not looking to good, but they had hope it was going to happen. He was a really nice guy, and told me he was excited about the McCarney hire.
  14. I wish there was a burger king off of university, I hate having to drive to 288.
  15. Good luck to Todd, I think he will be a good qb coach.
  16. Thanks for being a tough kid, good luck at Mcneese. However with that being said, Im excited for the 2011 season and ready for it to start. Go Mean Green!
  17. It is cold outside, but hell has not frozen over.
  18. Wow Fancy
  19. Its ok, we will be the ones laughing when Lance runs past him for a touchdown.
  20. Haha at my high school it was the opposite. We got stickers for knockdowns, because we were an option team. So me and the fellow o-linemen had a ton of stickers.
  21. No one cares about the softball and golf coach, thats why I put the pirate on there.
  22. Thank you, for once the East Texas sports forum had UNT news on it.
