  1. I would love to go, but I am on a 90 day probationary period at work since I just started. I will wear a green shirt to work tomorrow though.
  2. This guy is an idiot T-Shirt fan, just listen to him speak. He reminds me of all of the idiot longhorn fans that claim to be such big longhorn fans, but have never even been to college or have a job.
  3. Yeah, in high school we had a kid that they were not sure was going to qualify so they didnt actually sign with their school because they were waiting on ACT scores still. However at the signing ceremony, they signed just a blank piece of paper while wearing their schools hoodie. Turns out the kid didnt qualify, and he just ended up going the junior college route while everyone thought he signed with this lower tier big 12 school.
  4. Sometimes players just sign blank pieces of paper to make it look like they are signing.
  5. Chapel Hill is a 3A school outside of Tyler. They lost in the state championship to Henderson this past season.
  6. McCarney said he wanted a team with speed in his press conference, if I remember correctly.
  7. http://www.ihigh.com/chapelhillfootball/video_891547.html Here is a video of him
  8. Smoaky Chapel Hill's Lairamie Lee switched his commitment from UT-San Antonio to North Texas on Sunday. Lee recorded 178-Tackles, 13-TFL, 6-Sacks, 5-PBU, 10-Caused Fumbles, 4-Recovered Fumbles and 3-Interceptions on defense, and ran for 1,443-yards on 163-carries and 23-TD's along with 15-catches for 212-yards and 1-TD on offense.
  9. I think that he is debating on if he should go the juco route or walk on somewhere. I know academically he is eligible, I was just spreading the word for an old friend of mine that is an athletic booster/ school board member there.
  10. I was talking to one of the athletic boosters from my old high school in East Texas, and they have a kid that has not committed anywhere. He has gotten interest from schools but he is a bit undersized to play linebacker. He was a leader in east texas in tackles last year. His name is Justin Rawls 6-0, 180, sr. 164 tackles (99 solos), 9 TFL, 6 sacks, 5 CF, 5 FR, 1 INT, 1 blocked kick. 9-2A Def. MVP. He made the All East Texas Team on the Old Coach website. Maybe we can get this kid as a preferred walk on, since he is undersized. All East Texas Here is another article on this kid. http://www.marshallnewsmessenger.com/sports/high_school/article_ba3071f4-1639-11e0-9520-001cc4c002e0.html
  11. I love that we have coaches that are recruiting the defensive side of the ball so well.
  12. I heard Leavitt got hired on San Franciso.
  13. I would much rather a kid commit to a service academy then one of our rivals. Good luck in the Navy.
  14. Yeah I am serious, they have almost identical rivals rankings. Tate has a 5.9, and Sam has a 5.8. But Rival rankings don't always pan out. I am not impressed with Tate. I have friends from Michigan, that would always complain about him. I am not that worried if he transfers to MUTS.
  15. Akpunku to Navy This does not hurt as bad since we have had a few DE recruits commit to us.
  16. Sam Mcguffie went to U of M then transferred to Rice, and we didnt have a problem stopping him.
  17. Didn't this kid play at the JV level because Sunnyvale didnt have a varsity program? Not trying to knock the kid, but the speed is a lot faster from JV to FBS football.
  18. Tim Duffie is from my hometown of Jefferson, Texas. He played at Jefferson in the mid 90s and at Tech in the late 90s. His mom ran the cafeteria's for JISD. I think we have a chance in getting this kid. Tim recruited a kid from my hometown, that signed with Colorado State last year. The kid was a guy UNT was after as well. The kid ended up transfering to SFA at the end of this past semester.
  19. The coach who is recruiting him from Colorado State is an alumni of my high school. However with that being said, we should tell him that its too cold in Colorado come to Denton.
  20. Sounds like it was a great event. I hope this turns into some weekend commitments.
  21. I ran into Jamario a few weeks ago at the mall, and he was excited that I recognized him. His high school, was one of our rivals in football. We stopped him his junior year, but then his senior year he burned us for 100+ yards and a few touchdowns. He was always a friendly guy when I ran into him in Longview. Glad to hear he is doing well.
  22. Because they dont want to put black and yellow turf out.
  23. I talked to Tune at graduation in December, we were standing in line together. He told me that the medical redshirt process was not looking to good, but they had hope it was going to happen. He was a really nice guy, and told me he was excited about the McCarney hire.
  24. I wish there was a burger king off of university, I hate having to drive to 288.
  25. Good luck to Todd, I think he will be a good qb coach.
