  1. Great job George, he is probably the most humble athlete I have ever met.
  2. There were a couple of fans from UTEP, SMU, Rice, and U of H. The Big 12 schools had more fans then everyone else. They took quite a few of the Longhorn fans out of the pictures because they had so many.
  3. Thanks for the support guys. The other dfw schools were represented by frat guys if that makes you feel any better, that's probably why you dress the same. They looked like typical Sig Ep members.
  4. Hey guys I am sure that you all saw the recent posts for fans that were needed for the Texas Monthly college football fan photo shoot. Well I ended up going and doing the photo shoot and being a representative of UNT down in Austin. It was a great gig, and they put me up in the Omni hotel for 2 nights down here in Austin. Texas Monthly couldn't find any other UNT fans so I got my girl friend who is a UNT alumni as well to participate. Well we got to the shoot today, and it seemed like there was a stereotypical fan from each FBS school in Texas. Here were a few stereotypes I noticed about a few of the schools fans. The TCU and SMU fans that arrived were very typical. They came dressed in with their shirts tucked in, hair combed over, and wearing their sperrys. The Tech fans were the first ones to start drinking, and had a flag that said Tech drinking team. The A&m fans had some of their male fictional military cheerleaders there. The Texas fans were nice and had good things to say about our university. The Rice, U of H and UTEP fans all were very nice as well. We all talked about football and how our schools are moving in the right direction. I showed pictures of our new palace, and they agreed it was awesome. I had a lot of fun down here and tried to promote our University as best as I could. I can't get to any more specifics about what was done with the shoot but look out for the September edition of Texas Monthly, Go Mean Green!
  5. You have to walk across to fouts and use the old urnial wall.
  6. Oh well, good luck in Lousyana.
  7. That actually happened when I worked at another retail establishment during college.
  8. Hey guys I am going down to Austin for the photo shoot this weekend. Is there anyone else that would want to drive down there as well for the shoot. They are going to put me up in a hotel room Friday night, and I have a contact at Texas Monthly that needs one more die hard UNT fan. If you are interested message me on here and I will give you her email address.
  9. Sounds cool, but I will be too busy standing up yelling at the games.
  10. I graduated in December and am a season ticket holder/ mgc member. I will do it!
  11. Going to a bowl > then plain uniforms
  12. He is playing against the best 3A competiton in the state. East Texas dominates in 3A, it might be that I am a homer because I am from that part of the state, but good players come from the area every year.
  13. Looks like we will be running the wish bone or the veer this season. I met Darius once, he was a nice kid. I hate to see him go, but someone else will just have to step up.
  14. Texas Football Here is a link to a article about UNT's big dreams on TexasFootball.com. It outlines a plan for us to go to a bowl game this year.
  15. Sounds like a nice pick up
  16. Ok I bought my season tickets in the young alumni section and I just joined the mean green club in April. I need to get a parking pass, who would I contact about that?
  17. So since I graduated in 2010, I can get a parking pass for $50?
  18. I have been a UNT alumni for a few months and I bought my season tickets, as well as joining the mean green club. Once we start winning this season and everyone one in DFW jumps on our bandwagon, then we can say at least we werent bandwagon fans.
  19. I really hate the Fan, but everyone knows that UNT alumni only listen to the ticket.
  20. Glad to hear our first recruit is from the promise land. Here is the smoaky.com write up on the front page. Courtesy of David Smoak. Chapel Hill's Rollins commits to UNT Chapel Hill running back Rex Rollins, 6-1, 200, has given his verbal commitment to play college football at the University of North Texas. Rollins, finished his junior season with 88-carries for 844-yards and 8-TD's. He is a member of the Class of 2012. David Smoak
  21. There are several other small towns in East Texas he should check out. Tatum, Gilmer, Daingerfield, Carthage, all of these schools have talent year in and out, and have won state championships. I will post something on smoaky.com regarding the camp.
  22. Sweet, good thing I bought my season tickets already.
  23. I got my seats in the young alum section today. I am going to be in section 116, row 22 seats 27-28. Kudos to Kendra Talkin from the athletic department. She sent me an email with my seat selection today, since I could not step away and choose them. I was very impressed with my seats. Thanks Kendra and Go Mean Green!
  24. Rick I am getting them to choose mine tomorrow. I am doing the best available option, because the time I choose is right around the time the stock market closes for trades. I am still on probation at my job, so I cant call in around that time. With that being said, do they call and let you know your ticket location after they pick them for you?
