    He coached high school football for years in Texas. I hate SMU, but they made a great hire.

    His team got beat pretty bad last week against Gilmer. I only saw the Gilmer recap, so I not know how he did.

    The school is an East Texas powerhouse. They won state in 2005 and 2006. They go a few rounds deep every year in the playoffs. I'm sure the kid is a great athlete.

    DT was not perfect but the kid had heart. He overcame adversity to lead us to a bowl game and a winning season. We are going to miss him more than you will think.

    I worked with a few people that went to SMU, and they did not fit the stereotypes. They were hardworking blue collar people. I have met plenty of the stereotypical frat sperrie wearing kids at UNT. There are stereotypes at every school.

    I will always remember the Tech game when we beat them. I was with fellow pit crew members yelling "Hey Pat, Pat my crotch". He gave us go to hell looks.
