  1. I am not watching so that whole shitshow at the end of the half is difficult for me to understand. I thought home cooking ended with ESPN SportsCenter?
  2. And explain to me why Seth used timeouts on UTSA's last possession? To give them time to score?
  3. Thanks for posting. I was expecting more tough questions of their HC but just a "thanks coach". The guy does seem upbeat and positive. It is early in the season and this tournament was meant to be fun so maybe that's why.
  4. Why is Rice even still in this game? The cold damp weather forces NT to run?
  5. Hats off to the very vocal UAB fan on that last UAB stand. My God that woman has an epic loudmouth. It is annoying online so I can imagine what she sounds like at the game.
  6. Crummy weather just about everywhere today. But still no excuse for this turnout.
  7. Thanks for pulling all that together. Wish there were a website that did this automatically. One more (unlikely) scenario is if UTSA drops there final 3 and finish 5-3. Then UTSA is probably out. Guess I am hoping that Rice simply eliminates the strongest 2 loss team (WKU) today as I believe WKU easily beats FAU. But then Rice is super motivated to win against UTSA at home & then have a showdown with UNT.
  8. NT needs Rice to win against WKU, so we have some cushion for 2nd place. Yes, NT needs to take care of business and beat UAB. Totally agree as UTSA will beat La. Tech. I am predicting a Rice upset over WKU, despite this being a very tough road game for the Owls. Rice plays a man coverage scheme that WKU has not seen all year. Rice dares opponents to throw over their coverage and if you don't, makes you pay. Rice is big and physical on their defensive line and the weather forecast in Bowling Green is snow/rain/cold which plays into Rice's gameplan even more. I really think this could be a long day for WKU if they have to shift to a running game due to foul weather. The Rice defense is "Jekyll and Hyde" for sure, but Rice matches up with WKU like they did against Houston.
  9. "North Texas moved up 21 spots to No. 59 after a convincing win against Western Kentucky." Paul Myerberg USA TODAY 10/31/22 Tennessee second behind Georgia in college football NCAA Re-Rank 1-131 (usatoday.com) https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2022/10/31/tennessee-second-behind-georgia-college-football-ncaa-re-rank/10647300002/
  10. Hilltoppers fall to Mean Green, 40-13 (wbko.com) https://www.wbko.com/2022/10/30/hilltoppers-fall-mean-green-40-13/ Local station highlights liked above. On the field vantage point is a little weird, but it does show all the scoring.
  11. Just got home from watching the game. Was one of about 20 NT fans in attendance today at WKU. NT looked really good in the second half of this game, and you have to give a lot of credit to Coaches Littrell and Bennett for getting this team ready and executing against a potent WKU offense and a good WKU run defense. A few impressions that I have. NT beat WKU's butt today. Tyson Helton said just that minutes after the game. Aune looked pretty good today. Even WKU fans were surprised by the targeting call that was retracted. It sure looked like targeting to me and also a very cheap shot by the WKU player. He should be ejected for their game against Charlotte next week for it, but nothing will happen. Can NT withhold payment to CUSA if the Conference officials don't act? I play for keeps and so should the NT athletic dept. This is an egregious violation of a player's safety and wellbeing. NT didn't run the "bend don't break" defense today. NT defensive players were flying all over the field and that caught WKU off guard. NT had a very balanced offense today. The running game looked really good in person. KD Davis made some huge tackles. He is special. NT's kicking game was excellent today. Earl looked really good on the field. WKU was caught flat footed by Earl being put into the game. Today was a rare treat for me as I live 700 miles from Denton and can't watch NT games in person. I stayed for every second of this game to take it all in. With NT leaving CUSA, the WKU and MTSU games have now ended and so have my in-person game possibilities.
  12. Deliverance was set in Georgia, not KY. They look stoic and focused to me. Or hell, it could be the Allegiant flight too. This is a winnable game if Littrell and Bennet bring their "A" coaching game skills today.
  13. I will be at the WKU / NT game on Saturday. Section 108 on the WKU side (around the 35-yard line). Likely the only person on that side of the stadium wearing GREEN. I live in Bowling Green, KY and would welcome a meet and greet with all NT fans in attendance. Near perfect weather (cloudy and 72° at kickoff). It is cloudy here a lot by the way. I understand this is a long way from Denton and almost none of you can attend. But know that I will be there cheering on the Mean Green.
  14. Good information Coach Andy Mac. I have listened to every Tyson Helton radio show this season and here are my takeaways not covered in CAM's above post. WKU leads the nation in turnovers gained. They like to strip the football and give it back to their offense. WKU doesn't believe they can stop NT's "balanced" offense. Coach Helton believes WKU needs to score 35 to 40 points to win against. NT. Helton understands that NT has a bend don't break defense. Force NT to kick field goals and prevent TD's is one of their defensive strategies. Coach Tyson has repeatedly mentioned that WKU likes to hit their opponents QB on almost every play.
  15. Very tough two games coming up. UTSA and WKU on the road will be challenging. The remaining schedule is tough except for FIU. But even FIU has improved recently. For me, Seth should win out the remaining schedule and win the C-USA championship to get a new contract.
  16. Wondering if FAU can tie it before halftime. 9 seconds.....versus UNT....maaaayby.
  17. Bet Aune immediately throws another pick six.
  18. MTSU's upcoming schedule is tough. They play UTSA (H), UAB (A) then WKU (Homecoming) next.
  19. Good grief, this is just embarrassing now. Gunnel must really suck to leave Aune in there at this point. Aune probably lost the entire team's respect today.
  20. Aune has 2 td passes for Memphis same as the Memphis QB. If he can throw one more pick six he will not only score more passing tds for Memphis than their own QB has, but he could make AAC offensive player of the week too.
  21. Why does Aune throw into these pick six situations? He must have terrible judgement. Also, the dude is 30 years old. Time to hang it up and get a life anyway. Most of the other kids are 7 to 10 years younger.
  22. Memphis - 56 North Texas - 31
