  1. Pretty hilarious that TCU is doing this to them. Why should TCU fill SMU’s stadium? TCU really has nothing to gain by beating SMU anymore and TCU doesn’t need SMU to fill TCU stadium.
  2. Roster building is now a year-to-year proposition. A 4-year roster plan is useless now. Also, wake me up when the season starts and the portal closes and tell me who we have for this year. Following all the commitments and decommitments and “respect my decisions” is just too stressful and unrewarding. This is the system we have now. Hope we have the correct people in place to manipulate it successfully.
  3. This is an established D1 rotation player. Not a superstar, but he can definitely handle snaps in the AAC and still has upside. How many high school DE’s have we signed over the years who have never even seen the field for us? This is an example of how the transfer portal is changing recruiting as in years past we might have reached on a low-rated high school guy for this roster spot. Nice to be on this side of the portal for once.
  4. Wide receiver coaches turn over at most school’s almost every year anyway. Lance Dunbar is an all-time great. I wish him the best.
  5. I bet Buggs starts while CJ and Edwards battle to be the primary scorer. Loser is 6th man.
  6. The best thing that could happen to our NIL is beefing up the UNT business school. Love all the musicians and teachers, but not many of them are carrying around wads of discretionary income to stuff into the collective.
  7. We just beat Wisconsin and Oklahoma State in men’s basketball. Were we “competing” against those schools? Or should we have just rolled over and let them win because they are in a “P5” conference?
  8. When you watch a college football game do you just cheer for “both teams to have fun”? I cheer for a certain team: North Texas. And if you are a player on my team, I cheer for you. If you aren’t, then I don’t. And I donate money to the MGSF to help these players develop at North Texas so they can compete and win at North Texas. Not so they can get faster and bulked up and experienced and then transfer to Auburn. That pisses me off. And if it didn’t, what would be the point of following and cheering for a college football team anyway? It is one thing if a kid is here and can’t get on the field so he transfers. No hard feelings. It is another if that kid is getting the opportunity here, takes advantage of our resources and goes and plays somewhere else.
  9. Just trying to follow your logic. I, personally, am not a fan of unions, but whether or not there are unions doesn’t impact my consumption. Do you boycott professional sports because their players are in unions? Do you ignore television and movies because their actors and writers are in unions?
  10. I guess the difference between me and you is that I don’t believe that Auburn is a better job offer.
  11. Do you drive a car? Because everyone who built that car is in a union.
  12. I hope the both of them fail spectacularly as college football players for the rest of their careers, but go on to lead very happy and fulfilling lives outside of football.
  13. NIL and the transfer portal are BS. But we need to adapt to the new environment. If the big boys are tampering with us, we need to be tampering with players at the lower levels. Winners win.
  14. Only thing easier to get than Oxy in West Virginia is Ozempic.
  15. Damn! This dude has a gear we haven’t seen in a while. I love dudes who can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. Glad I renewed my season tickets!
  16. Except for us. We’ve lost plenty of starters to the transfer portal…
  17. Looks like this guy might be in line for the Jayden Martinez role.
  18. This will be Allen’s 6th season of college basketball.
  19. Damn. I didn’t know that. That is some beta cuck talk there. Hope that isn’t true and was maybe misinterpreted by Tylor.
  20. I’m interested in hearing who you think was better or more successful…
  21. Oh! Hamlet remains the greatest player in program history. No doubt. Dude won a freaking NCAA tournament game and finished his college career at North Texas. Tylor forfeited his chance to eclipse him. And if Tylor had stayed and had another year like last year with the same kind of team success, he would be a beloved legend worthy of a statue. He will still be remembered fondly by me, but I will also remember that he preferred to finish his career somewhere else. All y’all who don’t care about that probably let your wife sleep with other dudes. I’m not down with that.
  22. And some of the Tylor worshippers on here are underestimating what he turned his back on and abandoned. We won the NIT last year and Florida Atlantic damn near won a national championship and we gave Florida Atlantic all they could handle TWICE last year. Even with Grant gone: Ross + our returning roster + Tylor and a few higher level recruits (who would be available to us because of our recent success and this opportunity) and we could have made a Florida Atlantic-like run next season. I would also like to point out that Florida Atlantic kept EVERYONE because none of those players made selfish decisions. The idea that we at North Texas can’t have nice things is a loser mentality. Be a winner.
  23. Tylor Perry was amazing player and seems to be a good person. I wish him well. He certainly tarnished his legacy here by transferring and won’t be remembered the same as if he stayed. He could have had a statue outside the Super Pit. Now he won’t. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right decision for him though. How much more NIL did he get? Does Kansas State win the Big 12 and make a deep tournament run? Or does Kansas State come back down to earth in a very competitive conference and Tylor is just another forgettable one and done for them? Will be interesting to see what happens. Go Mean Green!
