Mason Fine QB Locust Grove OK - SIGNED LOI

Billy. What is the advantage to blue Shirting? -
Unless your job is athletic related, the quality of an athletic program does not increase or decrease the value of your degree. I have served on many search committees and interviewed prospects from all over the country. Applicants came from P5 and G5 schools. The success of their athletic programs never came up. I would worry about working for someone who made any kind of employment decisions based on the athleti success of the employee's school.

Long Term Prospects For Football?
Graddean replied to HarringtonFishSmeller's topic in Mean Green Football
Look at the physics of the sport. F=MA. As players get bigger and faster, the force of impact gets greater and greater. On the sixties, NT had an all MVC nose guard that weighed 200 pounds. Jerry Jones was an allSWC offensive lineman. Jimmy Johnson was an all SWC defensive lineman. Do you think any of these guys could play the line today. DII offensive lineman go close to 300 ponds today. I don't know the answer, but you can't eliminate injuries. If it were not for improvement in surgical and rehab techniques, many of the pro and college players today would be out of the contest. It seems in many cases we are simply delaying the payday for these injuries. -
You are wrong, and you are excused.

Kansas should be a good opponent.

MGB: DeVante Kincade calls UNT his top choice
Graddean replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Why? If someone stole something of his, why not let people know about it. This is not the kind of behavior to keep in the locker room. -
Correct, and the coach will get the blame; however this loss is on the players. Sometimes it is the players fault, and this was one of those times.

Athletics should never be the top priority of any university. The top priority is teaching. Athletics has little to do with being a Tier I institution. Becoming Tier I is based more on research spending and obtaining grants. There are a number of prestigious schools with so-so to worse athletic programs. I want us to have a great athletic program, but achievement in one area does not necessarily equate to achievement in the other.

These threads remind me of what one of my profs aid when I was in grad school. He had written a question for one of the doctoral students. When he got the test back, the student had written, " I don't know the answer to this question, but I do know" and proceeded to write his own question. The prof said the answer was pretty good. We asked him what he did. He said I flunked him. He did not answer my question. These threads can get like that often.

If it works like academics, the associate is superior to the assistant.

I think so. Who knows where the word came from. It might as well come from his Ouse as the UNT house. He probably didn't want it public until the deal was official. Unfortunately, in today's time, nothing will stay secret very long if more than two people are involved.

I suppose he will want to stay with Bama until after the 11th. What is the last date to enroll for Spring at UNT? We will certainly know by sure between those dates.

If Chip Kelly does not get another NFL HC JOB, and if Strong does not turn it around in 2017, look for Kelly in Austin in 2017.

Five words! My math kills are no better. It is six words. -
I don't think an aa conference dt is wishful thinking. Why can we not have one of the six ( first through third team) best dt' in the conference?

Fritz' 2nd Year FBS Triple Option In The GoDaddy Bowl
Graddean replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't find a good option team boring. I loved the Texas wishbone and the Houston veer. You play what you can do best. Last night may have been the worst job of defending the triple option I have ever seen. -
Odus Mitchell's final home game against Chattanoga. We thoroughly dominated on defense with a young Joe Greene. Mitchell was finishing his 21st year at NT. He had 21 years in high school prior. He had coached Y. A. Tittle in high school. He had a total of 42 years coaching. When we scored 21 points, the public address announcer said" 21 points for 21 years. Anyone want to go for 42." The word was at halftime some of the players were in tears. The band did a special half time for Mitchell. Late in the game we scored to give us 40 points. When the team set up to kick the extra point to make 41, the student section booed their own team. The ball was snapped, and the holder stood up. We went for two to make 42 points for 42 years. Everybody was delirious.
