I honestly saw -11 and I assumed it was BYU -11 then I saw SMU -11 man…..it’s so typical of that program. They got a fancy new patch on their jersey and all the money. But there’s still no substance. They barely beat one of the worst teams in FBS and then just got beat at home as double digit favorites. At home with what sounded like 50/50 BYU fans. But they can tout their attendance. Nevermind half the stadium wasn’t there to cheer for them. And They are such a “sexy” pick this year in their “P4” conference. Even though there’s really no substantive reason for it. They Bought their patch but underneath it same ole SMU. Embarrassing

Going into the Memphis game 5-1 could be needle moving in the G5 big picture of things....

Good take 👆 And I would tend to Agree....I think some (me included) are still shell shocked by how bad the D was last year, so to watch a game where they had no answer for our offense and we took complete control of the game in the 3rd quarter and still sat there in the 4th never feeling like we had the game won was frustrating..... Hopefully we get the week 1 to week 2 improvement and the offense just keeps rolling

I said before the game that this is game Morris had to win if we’re going to show progress. And he did. We were 6 point underdogs on The road and we beat them handily. I’ll give him credit for that. I wish I could feel like all the offense we gave up was ok because we outscored them and sometimes you do what you do to win and games go that way at times. But this defensive showing was par for the Morris course. With Chandler Morris at QB, this offense looks even better than last season’s. Defense looks exactly the same 1-0 good win hope the D gets better

As amazing as Chandler Morris was, their QB actually had better numbers. More yards. Same TDs. our D really is that bad.
