Everyone that’s upset about this read this a few times. 👆🏻 It’s pretty simple: “After a few years of the gear not selling…” Academy is not there to help UNT. They’re there to make money. I’m gonna guess if UNT had kept the momentum going after maybe the Arkansas win and got ranked and pushed for big bowls, Academy would’ve struck while that iron was hot. Academy sells stuff when products are “cool”. That’s how merchandising works. That’s how ESPN gives attention to teams. But if the general public doesn’t care about UNT why would a retailer want to carry clothes with that school on them? I know that’s gonna piss a bunch of people off but it’s the truth

For those that keep bringing up Cincy and UCF and trying to equate them to us going to the AAC. Sorry to burst bubbles but they’re not in the AAC anymore. With their exit plus Houston…the AAC isn’t the AAC anymore. I don’t understand why people get so caught up in the conference name. The AAC is just a small step up from CUSA with those teams gone. Just like when we went to CUSA after they all left CUSA. It wasn’t the same CUSA. Look at the new AAC from a national lens….

If he gets blown out at home by a first year head coach in their first game while we’ve had a game under our belt, would you fire him on Monday? if the answer is no then the answer to the original question is no I’ve learned over SIX SEASONS with Littrell that he can’t be judged by one game. Need to see the whole season play out. His History says UTEP is a 3-9 team this year. If we beat SMU, they’re a 5-7 team this year. I mean…..I’ll be happy but I’m out of the judging Littrell after one game business. One win against SMU doesn’t erase 6 years of mediocrity. (Yes 2 good years sprinkled in with 4 not so good years = mediocrity) Call me if he goes 10-2 wins the conference champ game and wins a bowl game

I swear....I thought these comments about Phil Bennett yelling were satire I'm starting to realize they're not. Holy sh*t...I don't really know what to say. If yelling at a player upsets you, whatever you do....don't go watch one of our basketball games. 😂 McCasland gets so far up his players' asses you can only see the bottom of his green Air Jordans. Wow. Is this lala land?

I had this game as 50/50 The fact that we pretty much dominated them and made great adjustments in the 2nd half was a good sign. We physically beat them up. Also...I was glad to see the stupid penalties corrected in the 2nd half. I'm out of the prediction game when it comes to Seth Littrell teams but dominating an FBS team on the road, first game kinks, etc....I'm pleasantly surprised. I may know more after next week....SMU is the most talented team we'll play all year. We'll see how they're coached.

I'm so confused by some of the comments about Bennett on the sideline....I never gave it a thought. So he's an intense football coach. What the hell is going on?

They knew we were going to run the ball in the 2nd half....between the tackles....and they couldn't stop it. If we keep doing that combined with timely passes and that defense...could be a good year.
