There are two types of fans on here. Those that think what you’re saying is ridiculous and those that think that’s absolutely where we should be. I happen to be in the latter…

I am We’ve playing football for 100 years and we’ve never had one of those I’ll trade them smoking US for a 12 win season and top 25 ranking 100 out of 100 times there was a discussion on GameDay last week when they were at UT and the crew was trying to name all the FBS programs in Texas. They mentioned UTSA. Didn’t mention us. 12 win seasons move the needle.

You’re right. Traylor is overrrated (I sincerely believe that) and his record is not that impressive if you judge it the way some judge Littrell’s. Which makes the fact that he’s accomplished so much more than Littrell that much worse. He has an 11 win season Conference championship (about to be 2) Top 25 ranking this is his 3rd year? I would take 11+ wins and national rankings for 1-2 years and bolting over 5+ years of 7-9 wins...

All valid points. I’ll throw one more thing out there. And I have no idea where Deion’s head and heart is here. But not only could he upgrade player recruiting. What kind of coordinators and coaches could he bring in? If I’m Deion and I’m not going P5 just yet, could I get some A+ coordinators to run the X’s and O’s to show I’m the CEO that can bring the players and coaches to win?

But we've never had a 4 star recruit or talent that far outweighs our competition. But how many times have we played G5 teams that are so much bigger and faster than we are? Plenty. I think yes, Deion is far out recruiting his FCS counterparts but coming here his recruiting pool grows as well. I'm talking about him recruiting against UTSA, UAB, Memphis, SMU. You want to play for UTSA or you want to play for Deion? Those are the battles we have to start winning. It's still the "Jimmys and Joes" even at our level. I don't know if it would even be a possibility (assuming a P5 goes after him) but I would think the rest of the AAC wants no part of recruiting against Deion Sanders.

The other problem with A&M and Jimbo that puts pressure on them....UT is coming. $86 million is a lot of money but Aggies would pay much more than that to make sure they don't lose to UT. ESPECIALLY since they've been in the SEC for longer and haven't done anything. Can you imagine what would happen if UT showed up and started having more success than A&M? They'd burn the campus down.

I think he's run out of chances....however, I put win all 3 games. Because...he's not going to. I'm assuming we'll be double digit underdogs in the championship game.
