If I'm a TT fan.... Yes we're getting Grant McCasland but it appears we're getting him WITHOUT his top assistant and the guy that is responsible for the scheme and this defense. McCasland didn't bring this style in here when he first got here....they grew into this through Hodge's influence. Of course it sucks that the bigger school with more money is getting our coach (and we did the same thing to Arkansas St who did the same thing to Midwestern State) but the biggest issue when these things happen is having to deal with a redo, new coach, new system...it usually leads to taking a step back which is bad given our move up in conferences. If Ross Hodge is the replacement.....I still like where we are as a program heading into the AAC. It really is a best case scenario given the circumstances.

This game is about us. Not them..... I agree with you. We have to play the way we know we can play. We do that, it doesn't matter what they do. They score 80 per game, we give up 55 per game. Something will have to give.

Since our game in the Conf tourney.....Jelly hasn't played real well. Their other players have stepped up.

So 2 thoughts on Hodge.... 1. Could he make more money as an asst at TTech than HC here? (I'm going to assume Mac would try to keep him and do the "I don't come unless my D coordinator comes.") 2. On the other hand, the fact that this IS the worst kept secret in America and the team has not let it distract them tells me that perhaps they all know something we don't....maybe they've already been told "Mac is leaving, Hodge is your next HC, we'll announce it after the tourney. The system stays, and we keep on rolling." Two opposites...either one could be true **additional thought: If your Hodge, does going to a big12 school as an assistant outweigh taking over this program when it comes to taking the next leap? What has more risk if your Hodge?
