They scored five TDs
-
That had to be the easiest punt return for a TD I've ever seen. I know he's a talented returner but it's been like that all year. Time after time, bad field position for us, good field position for them. Will they address that situation? Geez.

Unt/lsu - Will Pourhouse Being Showing The Game?

I'm not sure I want to pay $30 bucks so I can watch a blank screen when the 50 mph winds and downpour comes and screws up my satellite. I need to get FIOS.................... -
Unt/lsu - Will Pourhouse Being Showing The Game?

According to Directv, the game is on ESPN Gameplan or PPV for $29.95. Channel 787. -
A reporter doesn't have to sit at his desk with pom-poms and a foam #1 finger. He can call it like he sees it. The team is not very good right now. The defense is painful to watch. The Todd Dodge era has gotten off to a very slow start. Some of the players out there look lost and they don't know how to tackle. Question pulling Riley's red-shirt. Fine. There's nothing wrong with that because it's all true. But to be a brat and call them a highschool team ("he-he-he") "Look at them, they're trying to be Southlake." "He-he-he" #1 isn't funny, #2 is pointless. What's the point to call them "Southlake North?" They're struggling so let's throw some insult their way? It doesn't make any sense to try to embarass a program when they're down.

I didn't realize the broadcast on ch. 21 was a "North Texas" broadcast. The intro was pretty cool, the sideline reporter was wearing a UNT shirt, the color commentator was a former player, our logo was on the screen and most of the advertising was from Denton and surrounding areas with a a lot of Mean Green visibility. I saw someone on here complain about it but this seems like a huge step forward for us of this is something we're going to see more of. I know it wasn't on ESPN HD, but I was impressed. To have the game on locally and still have over 22,000 there was pretty good. One thing I'd like to see, and maybe this has been brought up before. I really wish we could get a big green tarp with our logo on it to put in the end zones, not sell any tickets there and push those fans in both end zones to the stands. At least on TV, it would "look" better. Other than that, the stadium looked great.

Riley Will Be Starting Qb By Conference Play
TheColonyEagle replied to MeanGreenZen's topic in Mean Green Football
It doesn't matter who is our QB, or what "spark" in offense we have when we're giving up 50 per game. Hell, let's get Romo in here. It still wouldn't matter. -
An offensive spark doesn't really help a team that gives up 45 per game.

4th And Long, 9 Minutes Left In The 3rd
TheColonyEagle replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Football
Just curious, what was the message? When I saw them throwing toward the endzone I was puzzled then I got a little upset when he brought the field goal unit in for 3 more points with 11 seconds left. Someone said the kicker needs practice. (Please) Then I thought more about it. Prince brought the 2nd team in pretty early in the 2nd half. Our D did a good job of stopping them for the most part. I'm sure their 2nd team was getting chewed pretty hard for not moving the ball. My thought at the end was that they responded, moved the ball down the field and Prince tried to reward them by giving them a chance to score. -
Why are they standing so far away from it?

same seats for me!

and FYI I believe there's some construction on 35 south of OK City. They're slowly moving up 35 but they've got it down to 1 or 2 lanes. Could add 30 minutes or so.

As far as I can tell, Dodge's line doesn't use splits anywhere near as big as the TTech line. But I think some people see, "pass happy spread offense" and assume your line has to be "quick and nimble." TTech's line sort of debunks that myth.
-
There's a big misconception with offensive line size in this kind of offense. Anyone care to guess who had the biggest offensive line in the nation last year? It wasn't a running team. It was Texas Tech. While we may not need them pancaking, we do need them to give the QB time to make his checks. I'm a tad bit concerned. I hope I'm wrong........

I guess I've never seen the "evil" Mandy. She has never been anything but nice to me. I've had plenty of conversations with her at road games, on the deck, etc. I'm not a "big time" donor. MGC member and season ticket holder yes, but I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near "elite." She always makes a point to say "hi" and is prompt in her response whenever I have a question. I remember when the athletic center just opened I went up there to check it out, ran into her in the hall and she took me around to tour it. Rick was in his office. She took me by, introduced me as a MGC member and was very accommodating. Not doubting anyone or taking up for her, just giving my experience in dealing with her.

Unt's Dodge Pushes For New Stadium In 2010

June Jones says he left Hawaii because of a lack of commitment from the university regarding facilities. Call it a lack of commitment, failure to get it done................whatever. Hawaii fans and alumni say after he leaves, "I don't blame him! Shame on you U of Hawaii for not getting off your butt and doing something to keep him!" June Jones rides off to a higher paying job and the majority of the people he left behind don't seem to blame him. It's a win-win for him. Now, let's try that again and fast forward a few years: _______________ left __________ because of a lack of commitment from the university regarding facilities. Call it a lack of commitment, failure to get it done..................whatever. ___________ fans and alumni say after he leaves, "I don't blame him! Shame on you U of ______________ for not getting off your butt and doing something to keep him!" ________________ rides off to a higher paying job and the majority of the people he left behind don't seem to blame him. It's a win-win for him. If I were Coach _____ and I got to a certain university to find out things aren't happening the way he was led to believe they were, If I'm thinking ahead, I'd go ahead and start getting the message out there. One message could be one like this quote..........."I've been told we'd open in 2010," _____________said. "That's when I'm holding them to it. For this program to go where it needs to go, we've got to get a new stadium." I'm just saying............... -
That's some March Madness right there!
