  1. OK...now I am angry...some of my finest preaching was wiped clean over the last few hours and I missed the reason for it. Hopefully my words were not the reason that the post was censored. I truly feel I presented my opinions diplomatically. Fundamentally, I think the problem for some (and this is not just about NT alums) is that their self esteem, self-confidence, sense of worth and their ability to face each day is based on how well their football team does on Saturday or Sunday. He said with pure, unadulterated sarcasm: I doing pretty well from a job/financial/family perspective. I can only imagine how great I would be doing if only I went to a school with a decent football team. Scott Campbell Flower Mound, TX Class of 1982 Section H Row 32 Seats 18-21
  2. NT80...oh...NOW your mad. Knew we could push you over the top if we tried! With you on the new stadium.
  3. I couldn't open the SMU thread, but someone should post DD and Phil Hendrie as look alikes.
  4. Thanks so much for brightening my day...this thread convinced me NT has a shot at this thing... Big ups for the Beetle Juice reset.
  5. Wow! Great ATTITUDE!
  6. SMU 24 NT 7 Attendance: 20014 yecchhhhhhhhhhhhh! Sec H Row 32 Seat 18
  7. Other than the kettle korn, the safeway parking lot would be a much more comfortable venue to see the game, with better sight lines also.
  8. Island Eagle, After recruiting season, I read another NT board that called this the worst recruiting class ever (of course, that board was negative about everything). I have not been to any of the fall practices and (as most who comment without seeing) really am not qualified to assess talent anyway. On what do you base your assessment?
  9. Brown: "McCoy will start. Snead will see playing time."
  10. Liberal use of the word party (parties), huh?
  11. North Texas is the biggest underdog in the county that weekend. And line will go higher once Texas money starts pouring in.

  13. Quinn? Jackson? Muzzy?

  15. I will stay with the Kettle Korn, though my kids will dig the dippin dots.
  16. Aloha. Welcome. Did you read the fine print? It says that when a fellow GMG.com member vacations in your area, you will give him (and his wife and up to two kids, if applicable) a place to sleep. Just ask....I have hosted all my fellow board members that vacation in Flower Mound.
  17. Well done Shutter. Not selling this year, just buying (but I do have my two non-alumni pals re-upping again this year). Just wish it was the Tomato vs. Dominos. Guess there are a few of us that get as much from seeing old pals at the game vs whether we win or not. I am usually in the first camp, when I perceive the effort is there. I hate it when we lose...but am angry when I don't feel we have played our best. Anyone biting? See you there.
  18. Rick, great post. That season was probably my all time favorite NT season because we played so well in the OOC. There was a mentality that we could win any game we played. The fans thought so, the players thought so, the coaches thought so.
  19. Any idea JD why my view of the video is diagonally challenged? I can't see the video? No drugs or liquor...today.
  20. Calvin, My son Ian, a devoted Mean Green fan, was under 3 pounds at birth also. He is 10 now, and healthy, happy, etc. Prayers for you and yours. I am fairly familiar with the process, so let me know if you need to talk to someone who has gone through some of this stuff. Hang in there. Scott campbellscott@verizon.net
  21. Fun to look at schools good ol' UNT has more championships than, i.e. TAMU and TTU, etc. Of course, there are others that surprise by having more than us, i.e. NYU and SIU.

  23. Poker dog: Well, one would hope that the post would have been accepted in the same spirit it was posted But after reading that novel of a reply I can see that ship has sailed. Einstein's Fear of Relatives has an addendum that you need to incorporate. Einstein's Fear of Plummer theory reads that if one of his posts is more than 10 words, it goes unread. Mr Plummer goes through one of these phases every year or so. This is a guy who does not understand that the effectiveness of one's argument is not enhanced by filibuster. Please move his posts to C-SPAN...no, C-SPAN 2.
  24. I am always saddened when I can see the graphic results of cousins marrying.
