  1. Want it. GMG
  2. You are representing NT this week, Brandon? GMG
  3. As a FMer, I tried to watch Ryan in isolation when he got in the games. I never felt he was comfortable in the OLD system, much less the new. I am not a technique guy and know a lot less than many of you here, but I didn't see him do enough to want him to start over anyone else on that line. I am not convinced that college athletes let message boards affect their "want" but he apparently took his twitter account down...perhaps related to the flack he got for some controversial remarks that were so controversial, I can't remember them now. Friends family's whose sons played with Ryan said he was a great guy. I wish Ryan success and hope that he chooses to finish his college, here or elsewhere. GMG

  5. Hope I did it right....gave a sports specific donation to CC. And since it didn't ask, I will take a Medium shirt please. Let us know when CC reached its goal! GMG
  6. Today. Mt. Bierstadt. My first 14er. Number one son's first also. A good day. GMG
  7. It came up in a conversation with Trip after the program. He said he was surprised it didn't come up, so he is fully aware of the situation. GMG
  8. I am socially awkward, don't much about football and not sure I need access to the coach, but I would enjoy listening in and would do this. And I hope we hire an AD compelling enough that I would want to do the same thing. GMG
  9. Oldguy, that was a great coaches recap. Well documented. Thanks for taking time to do it. GMG
  10. A few notes: Michael Sicuro, and I assume Trip Keuhne, evaluates businesses and works to enhance shareholder value. He called us shareholders. Very important and set the tone for the interaction. Complaints: Customer service x 100. Game day experience. Tradition. Denton involvement. Fan efforts to "help" the department being declined. Promotion ideas, i.e. the value of butts in seats. Locker rooms suck (Benford and another fan mentioned...Keuhne reported that is being addressed). Tradition/pageantry. Letterman involvment. Roger Franklin asked fans to support the players. Great speaker...clearly has a spiritual influence. Said it was important to him to have the fans with him. George Dunham gave an impassioned response on behalf of Hank. Frankly, it was worthwhile. Many things to consider. He contends that Hank was unable to do a lot of things discussed in this meeting because Rick didn't want to do it. Gave Hank a lot of credit for connections with the local businesses (I agree). Though I remain in the let's go outside camp, George was compelling and thoughtful. There were a number of good suggestions given, documented by Trip....he took lots of notes. Many things I hadn't thought about. Props to the very first speaker noting there has not been one post-game "event," i.e. band, etc in the stadium. Ideas spurred other ideas, like how about staging three bands in the tailgating complex. Festival style. Put country on one stage, rock on another, jazz on the third. Tailgate in hearing distance of your favorite music. They literally stayed until no one else was standing at the microphones. They listened. Very little retort, unless responding to inaccurate or mis-informed comments. This was the quarterly meeting that fans were promised a decade or so ago. Let's hope we have the opportunity to meet again. GMG
  11. He also said something to the effect that he plays with a chip on his shoulder..."played or coached at a lot of great basketball schools." Guy has an attitude that I like. Feels he has everything he needs to win, i.e. facilities, administration support, etc. My favorite line was that he went out and found defensive coaches that run defenses he hates to coach against. This coach is a winner. Get used to it. GMG
  12. What I acknowledged is that it took Trip and Mike (less than) 3 weeks to see what we (fans, patrons, guests) have endured for years...it, i.e. customer service, etc, is so obvious that it begs the question of why no one within the university saw it for and fixed it. GMG
  13. You probably know this but Coach mentioned that he has 68 players on scholarship. Real shock to me. Depth will be a huge issue. Shoring up with blue shirts since NSD. GMG
  14. Son and I will be there. GMG
  15. 940-565-2527 Worked for me. Human with a kind and professional demeanor answered. No recording. GMG
  16. Could be Marty, but these guys aren't employees. I hope there only agenda is moving this thing forward, fast! GMG
  17. With all of the additions post signing day, I am coming to the board for a little education. I have seen the blue shirt term used, but not sure what it is. Every time we add someone, the question pops up about who didn't get their grades from the original signing class, or not showing up for some other reason. For those keeping a close count, is it possible that new coaches are purging some of last year's roster to accommodate the late adds? Can coaches divide scholarships and have more players on at half scholarship? Thanks for the help. GMG
  18. My anniversary...won't be thinking about RV that much. GMG
  19. http://www.thepodhotel.com/ I am using points for a Sheraton in Tribeca (family trip for my daughter's senior year conveniently planned to coincide with this game) but I have heard good things about this hotel. Hotels are pricey and most rooms are pretty small, whether they advertise it or not. This one promotes itself as having small rooms but a decent social scene and price. Other than this, my company is based near MSG so I stay in Hilton and Starwood family hotels from 29th to 41st. Hampton, Homewood Suites, Four Points and Element can be reasonably priced depending on the time of year, in a good location, but my definition of reasonable depends on whether I can expense my stay or not. Go to Tavalo for Italian at an OK for NY price, 488 9th Avenue. http://www.tavolahellskitchen.com/lunch.pdf GMG

  22. "Before" picture. Looking forward to the "After." GMG
  23. Great to see a decision with some drama, where NT is in the mix, where God is thanked, where emotions are shown...and then the North Texas hat gets placed on the lid. GMG
