HouCat, appreciate your input and friendly banter. Your crew (literally your tailgate crew) will outnumber NT fans this year because: We can't afford bowl game pricing. We, with a long history of bowl losses, feel our 7-5 opponent doesn't merit playing a 6-6 team. We don't like the AD because he weakly addressed the NIL situation. We feel overmatched because our rent-a-QB (and WR, etc) cancelled his lease before the game and all remaining players, well, see the part about losing bowl games. We basketball. We tailgate, and $MU won't let us. And if they did, we would tailgate the whole game and not be in the stadium because, well, see the part about losing bowl games. We wanted to play in New Mexico or Shreveport or the Bahamas or Boston, or not Frisco. We don't want to play in $MU's house because, well, see the part about losing bowl games and because we never beat the team whose house we will be playing in. We can't afford to give NIL money so we can't overpay players on one year contracts that will require even more money to stay a second year. We don't like cold weather, or warm weather, or sunny or rainy weather. We don't like the uniforms that the players that aren't paid much decide they want to wear. We aren't willing to risk the chance that the $MU A/V system will be loud and will interrupt the band. Prove me wrong, good guys, or otherwise #FlameAway. HouCat, see you in Dallas. @FirefightnRick Kind of the App State of its day. Some of my favorite games came during that time. On the whole, I liked Matt Simon and I loved our team. GMG

Good point but also worth noting that if the defense doesn't get their opponent's offense off the field efficiently, the offense of said defense sees its TOP drop also. Allegedly. Conversely, when the offense fourth and fifth string running backs continue to burst 30+ yards for touchdowns, inefficient defenses, unable to put up token resistance, give the ball back to the offense quickly, Rinse and repeat. Two words: bowl pool. Lots of folks put up a few bucks, make 40 picks, then rank them for confidence 1-40. I watch at least a part of all 40 games. BTW, not sure how the playoff games will impact the pool structure this year. GMG

I'm not sure if its less quality or a coaching issue. I think they play to the level of the team they support. That said (and I know it didn't add a thing to the discussion), they make up about half of the student side attendance. I think we're gonna need a bigger band. GMG

I recall seeing two MBB games in the Snake Pit. I believe there was some sort of conflict in the Super Pit. But they were an absolute blast to watch. Great fan support, seats right down to the court, noisy as hell. If it is usable, I think that venue would be great for volleyball and I would support WBB there also. GMG

There was the ceremonial releasing of those seagull looking birds that hang out at the Mt. Lewisville trash dump. Two of them. GMG

Making a 3rd and 1, a 4th and 1 and/or a 4th and 2 would have eaten up some clock. But punting on both of those fourth downs would have turned the field over so at least it would, allegedly, eat more time on the clock before ECU scored again. GMG

The remnant cake is great. They take pieces of cake that were trimmed off other cakes, i.e. cakes baked in a square pan but cut into a custom shape. They then put on their fantastic icing so you don't see its been formed from pieces. It's also smaller so when I am in the mood for birthday cake, I don't have to wait for my birthday and its not so much that I prematurely die of diabetes. Candy Haven is cake heaven. GMG

Agree, but they are targeting proactively that niche. To get the free tickets, you will get a contact from NT tickets to discuss coming aboard for season tickets. I actually think its a pretty good idea. GMG

It was Ellington's. Really good food, but the peach or raspberry flavored tea was best in class. And a great place to talk while dining. But not iconic. GMG
