Like many of you probably do, I have the ESPN App on my i-phone. Ofcourse, UNT football and basketball are my favs, which gives me updates from ESPN on the start of the game, half, and end of game. I wasn't around the radio or computer, but was pumped when I got the text we were up by 7 at half. The next text I got from ESPN, was the game was tied and going into overtime. Then, no more than a minute later, it gave the new score. I thought, what the ........

Let's get all four....and have the SunBelt go 4-0! Our time will come (soon)!

What a great win for the Seniors who have been through so much! Great win for Lance Dunbar! Great win in the final game of the first year of the Coach Mac Era! And, what a great start to an awesome recruiting season! GO MEAN GREEN! FOOTBALL IS BACK!

Anything schedule that has less than 6 home games per year is not-acceptable....and for a school that has been told we are cutting back on money games...it is very sad.

Got5onit, You really think being upset and calling a head coach who has not been at Denton less than one season "all talk" are the same? My comments are to those calling for " a host of coaches to be fired " and/or "he is all talk". There is a difference! Some is the talk of "dissapointed fans" the other is a talk "of the doom and gloomers" who reak over this fanboard, with unbridled negative comments! All I know is, if we don't give Coach Mac a few years, it is a real shame. I have never seen a work ethic and desire to turn a team around more than anyone in my entire life. I am blessed each and every day to have him as our head coach. "All Talk", "Fire Assistants" is and will always be "shamful" to ParksAndRecRick in the first year at the helm.

I continue to be shocked by some of the football posts since the games yesterday! So, you can be shocked at this! Most of the best Mean Green players graduated or left UNT after last season! Let's look at this.... June Jones at your favorite school in Dallas: Year One---- 1-11 (only win was against I-AA team Texas State in close battle) Year Two---- 8-5 (great season for SMU. Bowl victory) Non-conference wins inlcuded: victory over I-AA S.F. Austin) Year Three-- 7-7 (Bowl Loss) Currently--- 5-3 (Probably Bowl Bound---maybe New Orleans) Wow, the only difference is, y'all would have been calling for his firing after the first year. To the member that said "all talk", regarding McCarney, you should be ashamed! The member that called for numerous firing of coaches, you should be ashamed! For those of you who expect this to be the best team in a very-improving SunBelt, you should be ashamed! You have your rights to make your comments...so I decided I had the right to make mine! For those new gomeangreen.com posters or fans,don't fall victim to the "doom and gloom" members. However, I fully expect, "the doom and gloomers" to jump aboard the bandwagon as things get better. Ridiculous post. I guess Texas Tech, SMU, Kansas State and the Aggie Coaches will be fired this week as well. Your quick reactions are lost who have no clue. Become an Oklahoma State fan!

Coach June Jones was on with Dale Hanson tonight. No question, Coach Jones has done a great job at SMU, culminating so far wiht their victory at TCU last week. And, are in line for their best year....in quite a while. But, anytime I listed to Coach Jones or Coach Patterson, I thank the good lord that Coach Mac is our head football coach. We needed a communicator at ALL LEVELS. We got it! He is may be the best in all of America. But, not only is he a good communicator....with an unquestioned work ethic, he is a good person and a good football coach. Folks, we have the whole package! Let's just keep supporting the team and giving us some time! I already can smell the Gumbo! Rick Herold

Good win, especially with a one-legged quarterback. Defense continues to improve. 2 of 3 at home! It was 2 out of 23 at home coming into this year!

When we played FIU a few weeks ago, we went to FAU and looked at the stadium. It is very nice. Again, not the classy brick finish of Apogee, but a very nice stadium located on the campus. The one thing that hit us, however, was how unmowed and unkept the campus was. But, a nice edition to the SunBelt indeed.

Please offer SMU. Mustangs please accept! Conference USA please invite UNT. UNT please accept!

Hope SMU does get a chance. I'm surprized, but so be it. It opens up Conference USA (hopefully) for us!

Embarrasing comment!

TCU had a grand run! TCU is a great University! The incredible run is over though....

If people aren't coming because of the Tulsa game, they are not fans! If anyone expected the turn around to come this quick, they have not been around this program for 20 years. Don't come them! You will run off the best Coach the Mean Green have had in years! Coach Jones will see, Dallas doesn't care about the Mustangs. Despite his healthy, he will see this and move along. Now, with a grand new stadium, and grand new coach, we MUST put our NOW on hold and "believe what the near future will bring". It will happen! Come on...let the ride continue! PLEASE!
