  1. GoMeanGreen.Com has always proved to be one of the closest groups associated with the University of North Texas...and I asking for your assistance. As most of you know, I am the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Grand Prairie. As of last Friday, we have been the host of 90 evacuees from New Orleans at our two recreation centers in Grand Prairie. It has been a very rewarding experience for all of us as we help these wonderful folks begin creating a new life. I know a lot of you have already assisted in your commnunity, but I would like to ask your assistance at our home opener against Tulsa. We are in need of Suitcases. Our folks are mainly families. They all came from the Superdome, so ya'll have read what they went through. Many were able to keep a few of the clothes and such, but only had garbage bags. If you feel you could bring a suitcase or two please so post. I am hoping to bring some of the folks to the game....and I will have the availability to bring a trailer to bring them the suitcases. Thanks so much for showing yet another reason why it is GRAND to be GREEN! ParksAndRecRick Rick Herold rherold@gptx.org office email 460.371.7352 cell
  2. Ya'll are always GRAND hosts! I remember a few years back when a band came by in the back of a pick-up and stopped by to play your fight song. Look forward to seein' ya'll Saturday. ParksAndRecRick

  5. Gang, I know you have had plenty to say in the past about the NT EXES, but we are really dedicated to continue to improve. President Fincher has us involved in the formation of a new Strategic Plan and our staff is commited to create Chapters and build a strong force for the Mean Green. The gomeangreen.com family has more passion for our GRAND university than anyone! We truly want to be a great "team". I sincerely hope you will give us a chance to show you that we really want YOU! Hope to see ya Saturday at the scrimmage! ParksAndRecRick Rick Herold President-Elect North Texas EXES
  6. MedPilot well said. TJ is a great kid. He has trouble academically, but that is one of the reasons why we got him anyway. Seriously, one of my friends says their isn't a better kid in the world. Let's support TJ. I sincerely hopes he hangs in their and gets another shot. You can not put ourselves into TJ's spot or his life.... From one Grand Prairie product to another, ParksAndRecRick

  18. Gang, I have two FREE courtside tickets for Baylor...unfortunately, my schedule will not allow me to attend. The only problem is you will have to pick them up Tuesday in GP. Email at work if interested: rherold@gptx.org Sit on the floor...and root the Green to another victory! "I BELIEVE IN THE MEAN GREEN"!!!!!
  19. First of all....if any of you are not at the Mean Green donation level to get into the Club before the game....please try to upgrade your Mean Green Donation for next season. What a great time it is.... Awesome FREE food and yes, FREE beverages! And, more importantly, a great time to meet other Mean Green Club Members! Met some new folks Saturday night, had great food from Ruby's Diner (have never been...but I am going now) and lots of fun. And, weren't the kids fun last night! My kuddos to the parents, Scout leaders and the such cause most of them stayed the entire game! Gosh, they had a good time. And, when the left you could see lots of cold drink cups and such left behind! That can't hurt! Pep band was great last night...and every one was in GREEN. Thanks Gang! And, we had some moments where it looked like we were getting back into the game. Injuries have taken their tole...but, JJ will bring the boys back! It's was really a great time.... And, when we left the court before the end of the first half. All the WKU players and coaches were laughing. But, when we made the basket...those smiles turned to complaints! Lots of great moments. And, I know wins are around the corner! ParksAndRecRickStillBelivesInTheMeanGreen
