I am very sorry that I didn't get around to post this last week...but, the airfare from DFW to Tulsa was just $75. I booked the flight and then forgot to pass it along. It is now $125 on Southwest and a little higher on American. I was going on a Van with Brother Brad, the lumber tycoon, but I will be in Indianapolis all week at our National Convention and coming back early Saturday morning...but, hated to miss it. Anyway, I found this, so I am flying to DFW and then back to Tulsa where it is not to bad a car ride to Arkansas. I will spend overnight at Tulsa and then come back first thing Sunday morning. Nice casinos in Tulsa! Anyway, the one-way airfare is $49 on Southwest coming home I just noticed. Anyway, is an option. The NW Arkansas airfare is very high at present. Sorry, I didn't post this earlier! I just wanted to see the Mean Green in Fayettville. When we played the Hogs a few years ago it was in Little Rock. Zack Mussey's parents went with us in a Van. Zack was hurt on the first play. I just remember how sad we felt for them all the way home! ParksAndRecRick

I must say, I was surprized how many people were dressed in our "new green color" at the SMU game Saturday! It left me optimistic for the future! ParksAndRecRick

What say you? Is this the biggest football weekend ever for the Sun Belt with wins over Oklahoma State, Minnesota and then Ark. State smashing SMU. La-La didn't have a good one though. Whatta ya think? Best football weekend for the Belt?

Cmon UNTBowler! Two Games. Maybe it will be next Saturday. Maybe later in the season. Maybe next season. It will happen. I think the O.U. coaching staff had a plan to try to end all the talk of "Dodge Ball". Their "high school defense" stuff, told our players to fall down in the second half, asked refs if we could play with running clock in second half....was bush league! But, I understand. Who had a multiple page feature in USA Today. Who was featured in Sports Illustrated. Don't for a minute....think they are not unhappy about that kind of coverage from UNT. Never, would I say Coach Stoops ran up the score....and YES it could hae been worse. But, those other comments from him and his coaches had one intention in mind.... "let's end this Dodge talk". Coach Fran lost to O.U. 77 to 0 in his first attempt while in Aggie Land. The next two years also brought losses, but by 11 and 10 points I believe. Sure, questions can be asked. Lord, I will never be one to argue that! I just believe Coach Dodge has a plan, knows how to assemble a Staff, know what it takes to win in the College game...and we will see that on both sides of the ball. I know it is $$$ talking...but, Thursday on the road right after a big Saturday game. It's a tough order for anyone.... I like to watch Thursday games....but, hate to play in them...unless you have an off week before.

The Dodge Era picks up their first win in the home opener..... 44-27! Sweet!

Coach Leftwich is very into the game. I loved watching him Coach against SMU. One time he was so hot, Coach Dodge came by. You can tell he is a great teacher...and sure enough they responded bigtime. It is really nice to have Spencer back home in Denton!

You are right...that is what I meant. I came to G.P. 5 years ago...but, we had finished the Wilshire Pond project. I know they have kid fish there now and it is very successful. Hope all is well!

Howdy EulessisMore. I love your name. As the former Director of Parks and Recreation in Euless for 16 years, Euless is really MORE! No doubt, I was always upset how few players we recruited from the power Trogans. But, that goes for other programs in the Metroplex. As you said, Coach Dodge and Coach Lineweaver are friends and have great respect for each other. I can't imagine us recruiting MANY Trogans in future years. MeanMag, the Public Address Announcer was the WORST I have ever heard in College football. He made mistakes virtually every play!

I am a rock music child and have always loved loud sound...but, if sound levels at Ford border on unhealhy levels if you are in the visitng section. Ford is a beautiful stadium and have always thought it was one of the best small stadiums in America....and I would love to have it. What I wouldn't want is the Public Address Announcer. Great voice...but absloutely terrible. At least 50 mistakes. As bad as I have ever heard in college football. The Mustang Stampede noise during the play should be illegal....heck, I thought it was terrible. All the sound there was created.... And, although our game production improves each and every year...the Eagle Shriek is awful. I wish it would be history. The backs on the seats at Ford Stadium....is in one word: Awesome! GrandGreen I am with you. I didn't think that terrible noise could go on during a play. I thought about asking Coach Dodge that tonight on the radio show. And, the P.A. guy at SMU. Good Voice. But, absoluetly the most mistakes EVER. If anyone remembers the SMU of twenty years ago... That Guy Ain't No Bill Melton! Terrible. Also, I am an old rock music child...but, the loudness of the Public Address system was near "unhealthy" levels for those in our sections. I would love to see that checked!
