  8. Both Belt teams will win in the first round! Go Belt!
  9. Baby Arm i agree! And, I will right now begin contacting UNT officials about a parade float next year at the parade. We can't be left out on "Green" Day. I have contacts in the float business and would love to take on the project. I know many of you would help! Rick Herold Director of Parks and Recreation City of Grand Prairie
  10. Well said "Tasty"!
  11. Congratrs' Mavs! I know it is a tough draw....but, give it your best! You are the 2008 pride of the Metroplex Hoopsters!

  13. "We sometimes don't know how good we got it....til the situation changes." We will see!
  14. A tragedy indeed. Our prayers out to the family and all the Dallas Police Department.
  15. My hope is that Coach Jones will get an opportunity to be the Head Coach at L.S.U. He has done GRAND things for the Mean Green. But, more importantly, is his quality as a person. He is one fine guy. If L.S.U. goes a different direction, shame on you...but, super for the Mean Green. Johnny Jones was and is a great hire by Rick V. Quality is his trademark!
  16. Steve Lineweaver is without a doubt one of the finest people in all of football. The Trojans are lucky to have a person of such character! My years in Euless taught me that Coach Lineweaver changes lives...on and off the football field. Rick Herold
  17. What a GRAND day for Johnny and the Mean Green. One of the best people to ever wear the Green Uniform....and one of the BEST families in Mean Green history! Go J-Quinn Go!
  18. Dear Patrick, As a veteran of that business years ago....I know how it works. They changed formats...and all the news and sports folks were let go.... I will say that your enthusiasm on the Air, even after your ungodly shifts was unbelieveable! You know sports, were friendly to callers, and made SPN exciting to listening to. I remember tons of nights listening to you...but, one of my favs was when you had Willie Mays live after Barry Bonds broke the record. It was fun to listen to you...as you could tell how importatn that was to you. Anyway, "tough times don't last, but tough people too". Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. Respectfully, Rick Herold ParksAndRecRick
  19. You lads know I don't beat up on my players. Heck, I'm not even referring to Roman as a defensive back...blame whoever you want. It was a Return Man...that scared us EVERY single time. It was surely an experience....
  20. I still believe the SMU stadium is one of the nicest small stadiums in America. Bring it to Denton...
  21. Roman is gone! All my friends are celebrat ing! Worst returner in UNT history!
  22. I applaud the taxpayers of the City of Arlington. The Glory Park Development around the stadium is truely amazing and will be talked about all across America. The stadium has already brought a Super Bowl to Arlington, the Big XII Championship, the Cotton Bowl and soon the Final Four will be announced. It will transform part of the City of Arlington and along with the Rangers Ballpark, and Six Flags one of America's top entertainment distinations. Dallas played chicken and lost. Mayor Cluck and the Council need to be applauded for their daring and visionary work. ParksAndRecRick
  23. It was the first time that I was convinced that refs were paid off by the big conferences. Two of the worst calls in Mean Green history. A game that will live in my heart forever. You never know what that could have meant to us.... I still feel for the players and fans... ParksAndRecRick
  24. Does anyone know if Patrick Cortez has left Sporting News Radio. He was really good...and always promoting the Mean Green. I could not find him on the roster tonight. I have not heard him the last couple of weeks...and he was alsways on either giving the sports updates or weekend and fill-in shows. Hope all is alright. He also comes to the site regularly, so if so Patrick, please let us know. Thanks, Rick Herold ParksAndRecRick
  25. To the Pit Crew... "Y'All Are Awesome! Here's to your continued growth...and the continue excitment you bring to the fab Super Pit! Way to Go!!! ParksAndRecRick
