Happy Birthday BroGeorge! One of the true Mean Green legends!

I believe the entire team will do well. One player I believe will do well is Riley Dodge. Riley wanted very badly to be the quarterback to lead our turnaround. Although some arm injuries have kept that from happening as qb, that heart, quickness and talent are still ready to break-out. I believe he will be one of the most coveted players in 2010.

Well, we know they won the All-Star game race..... Do you trade 16 starts for a potential 20 years of greatness. Atlanta helped us out years ago. I have the same feeling agian. The plan was working, but one thing I fear, they all started listening to the press. This is the same Press that unamiously scolded them for not making more trades and changes in the off-season. I was at the first home game the Rangers ever played, so I have been a fan from day one. I was for this plan, but now we will never know. However, we can see if the changes at catcher, and moving major projects for 16 more starts gets the Rangers in the promised land. I would have thrown my dice with the team three weeks ago. Only time will tell....somewhere I feer the Angels or even the A's might be listening1

Can't miss the season opener. I was wondering if anyone had any inside info as to the game time. Nothing up on Clemson website, but thought some of you may know their history of early season non-conference games. Johnny is one of the greatest players and people ever to come out of UNT. The Lord will guide him to his next adventure....

Blake Dunham....You gotta love his comments about growing up with his dad at Fouts and how it is a lifelong dream to play for the Mean Green! And, play he will! Lot of potential positions for Blake, but I predict a career much like our own Chris Hurd! Blake has a great work ethic...and George has to be in seventh heaven....thus, that is my favorite recruit!

Ofcourse I trust! For it is the right thing to do! Call me what you want....It is always easier to believe in the Mean Green than bring back the negative tone that has been a major part of this program EVEN when we went to four consecutive bowl games. Take time to look with enthusiasm and anticipation for the upcoming season....rather than will mistrust and disbelief. You will have a lot more fun....and maybe, just maybe, the Mean Green will surprize all of the non-believers. I don't live in the past...but, the optimism of the future. And, if things for some reason don't work out....I will think about that then and only then. For now, I really do believe in the Mean Green!

MeanGreenFamily, One way the big boys in Texas may get around this is that the "foundation" or "club" in fact pays the salaries. That would take away State statuets. Cities have different rules, but, that might provide some insight.

FFR, I am very jealous! I think it is awesome you could go by with your family. I have not had the priviledge of meeting the awesome Abner Haynes! Congrats' on meeting a true living legend...... He helped change the world of Texas college football forever! Rick

I must say I am a big fan of The Ticket, if nothing else because of George. However, I am sick and tired of all the talk that all people care about is the National Championship game or the BCS Bowls. I think it is time we put an end to this slaughter that schools like UNT are taking! I cared about Middle Tennessee and was proud of their win. I want to watch Troy win. Everyone knows how our bowl appearances brought us together. Can y'all remember the first New Orleans Bowl and how we sang Dr. Pohl Happy Birthday at the House of Blues. The rest of us spend millions of dollars annually and provide an economic catalyst for the cities that are the hosts. I do care! Sure, the most of America cares much more about "THE" game on Thursday. Makes sense.... However, I am madder and madder about this "bowls are overdone" business. Who cares they say? The TEAMS and the FANS that are chosen for the Bowls..... I know that records are often poor, but it still is a reward for fans and players. And, so 25 teams (that win) end the season with a grand taste in their mouth...and help them get fired up for next year. I don't expect us to ever be in a BCS Bowl....but, I know I will follow the Mean Green somewhere...be it New Orleans, GMAC Bowl or whatever..... And, will enjoy every damn minute of it! Bring the Bowls on....yet, another chance to show just how much the SunBelt is improving. Seems like yesterday that ULM went in to Alabama and beat them!!!! ParksAndRecRick

I think this is grand news as well. I expect Troy to bring us to 2-0 in Bowls this year!
