Lots of early canidates for Univesity of Minnesota head coaching job. However, they say the name picking up the most steam and excitement is Mike Leach. Be interesting to see what happens in Gopher land. Opened their brand new stadium last year back on campus....and they are ready to turn their program around. A Canadian Football League head coach, who is a former Minnesota QB was the early favorite.

That's awesome! Won't be able to go, but Mean Green Basketball and the UNT Alumni Association Denton Chapter are awesome! Hope you do it again!

Have lots of relatives that live and die at UM football. They called today and said their Coach had been fire effective immediately. A former Minnesota qb who is the Head Coach in the Canadian League is one of the early favorites they say. (Sorry, I missed the earlier post!)

I have same dilemma. We decided to go to Rangers game extra early, park as close as possible, and head out after the game to Fouts and hope to arrive at Halftime. Not ideal...but, helleva day! Go Mean Green! Go Rangers!

Gang, First I know many of you are dissapointed about the season. I am as well. However, I have never seen anything quite like this in all my seasons following College Football. This is incredible. The biggest loss obviously the loss of life of Josh Rake. That overwhelms all the rest. But, 17 legitimate injuries. Now, Riley has a broken wrist. It's not about my dissapointment anymore. It's about the team and the Coaches who have toiled so hard since last season. One thing we know, they will not quit. They are far stronger people than this Parks and Recreation Director. I believe that is the story for me. That continued determination to fight on.... And, they will Saturday. To me, these are just way over the top of "that happens in sports". This is a group of Men and Coaches that are having to hold on to what seems like the very last strand. But, they will. And, I will applaud them for it. Sometimes being special is judged in other ways..

Had a GRAND time tonight on the touchdown terrace having some fun, eats and drinks with Mean Green Club members. Yep, they signed me up. Silver Club Level! Thanks to Rick V., Jon, Cooper and the rest for a fun night. See everyone Saturday. Our stadium is the bomb!

I wouldn't worry, their they have a ZERO market share in Dallas/Fort Worth!

FFR, it is a lot like the 01 team.... I got a GRAND feeling about the next few weeks! Awesome job to Coaches and Players! They BELIEVE.....we should to!

Coaches and players deserve this win. First of what will be many more I believe..... That's what the team must be a "team" not worried about the fans or anyone else. They won because they still believed! Proud of them!

Schedule should be embarassing to any SMU fan! Awful.....

The attendence and crowd last night comapared to SMU's crowd remains very important. First, I grew up an SMU fan and attneded virtually every game from age 18 to 30. But, as I have stated, Dallas is not a SMU crowd. Despite the wonderful job of Coach Jones, Dallas really doesn't care. For the Mean Green, we have Alums and friends that do care. I believe you will see even more in our new house next year! Long term, my money is on the team in Denton!

Selling your soul is not accpetable to a great University like North Texas!
