Also, someone posted this the other day..... Hayden Fry's record at SMU........... 49-66-1 in 11 seasons He went from there to become a legend at UNT and Iowa. And, is in the NCAA Hall of Fame!

We welcome Coach Mac to Denton, the Unviersity of North Texas and the SunBelt Conference. I applaud officials for staying with their timetable of the announcement right after our last game of the year. People in the know across the Country are excited about Coach Mac coming to UNT. Good Recruiter, loved by his players, learned from the best, firey on the sideline--and his players take on his attitude. Neat to have ties again with Hayden Fry! Let's all welcome Coach Mac and his wife at the Press Conference! UNT Football: It's Time!!!!!

Like Harry and Plumm, if Coach Mac is the choice then it is important to come together. There are lots of important football people out their who think the world of this guy. I have spent lots of time reading about the Coach. Many people consider what he did at Iowa State incredible. A dormat to five Bowl games in the Big 12. We can't say he hasn't beaten some big teams in his career. It also has been noted that his players really seem to love him. That comes from Florida and Iowa State. Someone posted a story about him "....he stalks the sideline with passion...and his players follow his lead." Not exact quote, but same meaning... I told a GoMeanGreen.com Member I respect very much, that I was for Coach Fran or Coach Chico. I didn't like Alabama players left behind by Coach Fran, but we never know the truly story. Coach Chico just had some bad timing. He will become a head Coach and is already listed as a possible candidate at Ball State. However, this may be another win, with Coach Mac keeping him at UNT as Asst. Head Coach---Offensive Coordinator. (I think that is possible...but, we need it to be Coach Mac's decision). Finally, in lisetening to his post-game interviews. He speaks fast and polished in interviews. I think he may get more people excited than we all may think. If he is the choice, let's all give him a GRAND welcome! And, in true Mean Green fasion, I know we all will. Without facilities and funding, this has been a hard job. The task is not over....but, is improving yearly. Coach Mac has been in those situations. Let's go back to the top of the pack in the Sun Belt. Our Conference USA bid gets closer aqnnually. Let's get TCU to the Big East and then have Mountain West pick SMU for Dallas Fort Worth marketing...and then we fit nicely for Conference USA for Dallas/Fort Worth presence. Welcome Coach Coach Mac! Hope ya stay Coach Chico! Let's beat Kansas State and send the ole gal out in style!

I have ESPN Game Plan so watched the game at my house.... It was the worst broadcast I have ever seen. I know the second half they kept saying it was a product of the Middle Tennessee TV and Film Department Students. Well, after watching the game, the Head of the Department should be fired and all the students should transfer immediately to Parks and Recreation. Yuck is the understatement.

Riley is a gutsy incredible winner who has been one of the most abused players in recent memory at UNT. He is just a sophomore and no question should be the qb of UNT for the next two years. We will see if Riley stays at UNT. Thanks RD!

Riley has been the most abused player by fans I can remember in the last five years. People demanded perfection out of him when he was a freshman. He gains experience with each game. He was incredible and smart with Troy and has the intangibles to make us a winner. He wanted to be the catalyst to turn our football program around and he may be able to do it yet.
