OK we need 1 more vote to decide the National Champion here , If we leave at a tie we are no better than those dumb@sses at the NCAA who fail to see the need for a playoff.

I Think the SEC is just so damn tough. Its hard to say any team can win out and be confident about it. Let's not forgot about the Razorbacks too .. If they win out and finish w/ 1 loss , their resume , along with any other SEC 1 loss team would be better than the Horns. I just feel its easier to say the Horns can win out based on the big XII than to say the same about any SEC team winning out. How funny would it be if Auburn wins out and finishes #2 in BCS , when they went undefeated 2 yrs ago and couldnt even get in !!!

If UT & ND both go on w/ 1 loss it will be interesting to see how that plays out because that would mean the Irish will have beaten USC in the last game of the season. UT could be hurt by SOC since they seem to be the only real team in the BIG XII ...jury is still out on the Huskers.

I think NT has a better chance of winning out than Rutgers....SCARY!!! But, If I had a vote between Rutgers winning out , NT winning out or Hell freezing over ... Lets just say id be puttin on my snow boots!

1) Only if USC and either Ohio St. or Michigan also do undefeated. IF Rutgers wins out it, would have to include wins over #4 West Virgina & # Louisville, there is NO way a 1-loss team could be ranked ahead of them. 2) But it is very possible that USC , the winner of Ohio St./Michigan and a Big East school will go undeafted. Between Rutgers,WVU & Louisville it's very likely that 1 will be undeafted. Which creates a whole other debate. Personally I hope it happens. Not having a playoff is the biggest joke in sports.

Rutgers will lose to the eventual National Champion , West Virgina. Boise , I think , will only crack the top 10 if they win out and win a bowl game. SOC , is too weak I believe to make a BSC game. But , If I were them Id bitch like crazy if they finished 12-0.

Dont forget about 6-0 #18 Boise State. Very favorable remaining WAC schedule left. 6 Remaining games w/ opp. records of 15-21.

Which makes it even more of a point, that it should be easier for NT to get recruits compared to Idaho. How hard would it be to sell a kid from California to move to Idaho ??

Im wondering the same thing!! I never said we recruited well , just said we are in a great location to do so.

I am afraid that UNT is not in similar circumstances. Understand your point , but I think you have to take in consideration the geography. Idaho will always be at a disadvantage when comparing to NT. We are in a hotbead for recruits , have a rich state tradition , and in the great state of Texas .. Whats in Idaho besides potatoes ?? I just think year in and year out there is NO excuse not to be better than IDAHO no matter what the situation.

I think it would greatly benieft the recruiting. Kids like playing in the system , plus w/ the 7 on 7 gaining more and more popularity in the offseason there are more blue chippers developing at the skill positions ( Not a proven fact , but cant see how it doesnt greatly help ) I think you have to put your self in a 18 yr. old's mind. Its easier to sell an Offense that you can play on PS2 than try to sell an Old School style coaching philosophy... Im sure 90% of all Texas High athletes have never heard of Doak Walker , but im sure most know who Wes Welker is

Yes , and I understand. I dont think think RV would ever go for it though. I think once we establish ourselves as somewhat a mid-major power ..say a ranked #40-60 then your plan would be good. At this point tho a loss to a IAA would really sink the program
