  1. THE MAC OPPONENT WILL BE ONE OF THESE FOUR TEAMS : BOWLING GREEN , EASTERN MICHIGAN , KENT ST. OR N.ILLINOIS. ALL OTHER MAC TEAMS HAVE GAMES SCHEDULED FOR 09/15. 09/15 MAC games : Akron vs Indiana Ball St. @ Army C.Michigan @ Purdue Miami (OH) vs. Cincy Ohio @ Va Tech Toledo @ Kansas W.Michigan @ Mizzu All of these games have been confirmed. **OKAY IT SHOULD BE DOWN TO 3 TEAMS ( BOWLING GREEN,KENT ST. OR UNI ) BASED ON THE MAC/SUNBELT CONTRACT BECAUSE E.MICHIGAN TRAVELED TO ULL THIS PAST SEASON.
  2. I noticed Willie Ransom wasn't on the senior's list. Does he have another year left here ?
  3. 09-02-99 vs. UNLV , lost 03-26 I believe this was a Thursday night game. It was John Robinson's debut coming back to college coaching from previously being with the Rams. I had just moved to Denton and one of my new roomates was friends with then QB Jason Attaway(?) We went over to his house after the game and watched highlights of the game on ESPN. Well , highlights on UNLV picking off one his passes for a touchdown , anyways Ive been bleeding GREEN ever since and now more than ever. Just curious one each person's first game.
  4. I really doubt it , he has offers from just about every Big XII school plus LSU. He takes his last visit to Stillwater this weekend. He would be a HUGE pickup but , I think we will be VERY okay with the receiving core Dodge has been able to haul in.
  5. Maybe all the standout WRs that TD has brought on board made him change his mind?? Or maybe he thought he had a edge over our current QBs since he never had to endure the likes of DD or RF??
  6. Easy now, because you know with each win this year she gets another year added on to that extension. Who knows , in another 18 years maybe we could be ranked like MTSU ???
  7. I would have to guess it has to do with academics. I mean this guy is rated as the #10 ILB in the nation by ESPN and I believe scouts.com has him in the top 50 for LBs. Even though I don't put a lot into these rankings , im sure if he could get into any school he would have 20+ offers easy based on these rankings.
  8. DAMN , BRINGING IN SO MUCH TALENT IN SO LITTLE TIME.
  9. I was expecting a blowout from a Very good Lady Raider team , but we hung tough and actually only trailed by one , 31-32 at the half.
  10. If TD & staff can do this well in just 30+ days , imagine what next years class could bring..... Maybe our 1st ever top 100 National player ???? ( I think Newton could make that list )
  11. That's what you get for playing on the internet while at work ( just kidding)
  12. I heard he got hurt when Romo pulled the ball away while he was practicing field goals over the holiday break. He is listed as day to day
  13. Agree , but I think Garrett is a rare breed ( young, ready coach ) much like Avery Johnson and he's not doing too shabby. I could see Jerry hiring an older, experienced coach ( someone like a Siefert, Phillips, etc. ) for 1-3 years so they could mold Garrett as the future , long term head coach of the Boys.
  14. Updated: Jan. 24, 2007, 10:32 PM ET Source: Cowboys pick Garrett, but role is undecided ESPN.com news services According to knowledgeable sources, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has decided to hire Jason Garrett at least to be Dallas' offensive coordinator -- and possibly to be the successor to retired head coach Bill Parcells. Garrett A source told ESPN's Ed Werder on Wednesday night that Jones considers Garrett -- a former backup to quarterback Troy Aikman -- to be one of the most promising offensive coaches in the league and was so determined to bring him back to the Cowboys organization that he would have been added to Parcells' staff had Parcells decided to coach the final year of his contract. Instead, Parcells stepped down Monday after four seasons with the Cowboys, ending a 19-year coaching tenure that included two Super Bowl champoinships with the New York Giants. Jones must decide by Thursday whether to hire Garrett as offensive coordinator because the Miami Dolphins set a deadline for the Cowboys to hire their quarterbacks coach when granting the Cowboys permission to interview Garrett. The Cowboys could appoint Garrett offensive coordinator to secure his services while eliminating the Dolphins from the equation. Then Jones could deliberate whether to appoint him as the head coach later after interviews with other head-coaching candidates, primarily San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator Wade Phillips or San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Ultimately, Jones must decide whether he's willing to sign a veteran coach to a three- or four-year contract to allow Garrett to gain experience as a play-caller before eventually promoting him to the top job. Or, Jones may decide he's willing to endure the risk of immediately putting a talented Cowboys team in Garrett's hands now. Garrett spent the last two seasons coaching Miami's quarterbacks. He played for the Cowboys from 1993-99, appearing in 23 games (nine starts). He also played for the Giants, Tampa Bay and Miami. Garrett retired in 2004. Garrett's father, Jim, was a longtime scout for the Cowboys. The Cowboys haven't had an offensive coordinator since Maruice Carthon served in that role under Parcells in 2004. This season, assistant head coach Tony Sparano coached running backs and the offensive line and receivers coach Todd Haley was the passing game coordinator. Jones earlier this week spoke to Sparano, Haley and secondary coach Todd Bowles, a candidate to replace Mike Zimmer as defensive coordinator, about the head coaching job. Phillips, who was in Mobile scouting Senior Bowl practices, said he hadn't heard from anybody yet, including the Cowboys. "If it's true, we'll just go on with the process and see what happens," Phillips told The Associated Press by telephone. "I've got a great job where I am and a great football team. I wasn't looking for anything, but I've always wanted to do what I can do as a head coach, and Dallas is certainly a premier job." The Cowboys have declared that finding the coaches who can develop young Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo is a point of emphasis in replacing Parcells. Information from ESPN's Ed Werder and The Associated Press was used in this report.

  16. I think it was Braums. A NFL player would never stoop down to the level of a Dairy Queen. Just ask Mark Cuban
  17. Can't blame DD for that. Who would of ever known that the little known DISD , that is so far away from our campus would have so much talent ?? TD must have been tipped off by someone
  18. Haven't heard that one yet , but I hope it's true. Not because I like either one , but Id rather face a Stoopless OU team for our opening game.
  19. Sorry about the Double Rivera post , if I take it off it will erase the current 3 votes. I guess I could replace one of the Rivera slots with say....RF ??
  20. Damn, what happended to the orginal thread about Women's BB ???
  21. Hearing top 2 names are : George Seifert and Terry Donahue are to meet with Jerry Jones sometime soon. If you choose one of the bottom 3 , please tell who!
  22. Damn ur right. I hate them so much I didn't even check their schedule. Oh well , we can atleast go .500 is South Bama can knock off Houston.
  23. So much for the Belt being so weak. We beat CUSA in head to head on the football field this year and now stand 4-4 in head to head matchups on the hardwood. Deciding game will be on Feb.14th when South Alabama plays Houston. Memphis beat ASU,MTSU UCF beat FAU WKU beat UAB UNT beat Rice & Tulsa Tulane & NO split 2 games this year
  24. I believe Ransom was a senior this past season , thus ending his Mean Green career , right ?
