Ohio State backed out on fear of a MAJOR upset , so instead they gave us Memphis

Was hoping maybe South Bama could do well in the NIT and represent the Belt. Instead , they draw the biggest snub of the tourney ( IMO)

Any word on time ?

If it's the late game im in. I can get off work at 3 , drive straight to the airport , catch a 430/500 o'clock flight , get to NO around 630... Hopefully game is at 700. If not Im screwed!!!

I was browsing the DMN college board and found this : Today marks the 27th anniversary of one of the biggest wins and one of the more unusual wins in the history of Texas A&M basketball. The Aggies knocked off North Carolina, 78-61, in double overtime in Denton in the second round of the 1980 NCAA Tournament. Amazingly, the Aggies outscored the No. 3 seed by 17 points in the second overtime, even though the two teams didn't make a shot in the first one. A&M lost to eventual champion Louisville in the next round, and UNC went on to the NCAA championship game the next two seasons, winning it all in '82. Maybe that good luck will resurface when A&M takes on Oklahoma State tonight on what could seem like the Cowboys' home floor. Didn't know that. Was that the last time ??

As much as I would Love to , We can't have a rivalry with SMU because they do not want one with us. A rivalry is two-sided. It's a shame we can't play them every year in every sport. They already stated last year that there will NOT be another football contract w/ UNT for a long time. That's a dirty shame.

FFR , your right Football is KING in Texas and always will be. In the long run your right the 1st NO Bowl will probably still stand out more than this year's NCAA bid. What gets me the most excited though , is that we atleast have a chance. Just like Florida,UNC,Kansas the games will be have to played on the court and not in the polls. Will we will 6 in a row ? I probably had a better chance winning the Mega Millions , but at least there is a chance. Say in football if we won our 1st 6 games next year , vs. OU , ARK , etc. Would we be ranked #1 at the end of the 6th week ?Not a chance. Even if we went undeafted next year in FB , there is no guarantee we would even get a BCS bowl bid. If we win our next 6 BB games they will have no choice to crown us. "more like 1 in a million"....... " so your tellin me there's a chance!!!"

Early predication here , but for all those ( me included ) who are worried about being in the dreaded "play in" game , I think the Big Sky Champs , Weber St. , will be chosen before us. We have a better RPI and record. I looked at their schedule and they didn't beat anyone of any significance. They also have 3 wins vs. non DI schools like us. I think our wins vs. Charlotte,Tulsa,WKU will help out.

On College Game Night on ESPN , they just said NT was headed to the play in game. Surely , this can't already be confirmed can it ?? Anyone else hear it ??
