Young was never drafted in NBA , I think you may of been thinking about current LA Dodgers pitcher , Mark Hendrickson. However , if we had baseball maybe we could of recruited someone like a Chris Young, a 2 sport star.

If we could have a yearly , alternated home field match up w/ an OOC opponent , who would you want it to be ? Forget current contracts , or certain schools not wanting to play us. It would be nice to have at least 1 OOC team we play year in and year out for a long time. SMU , give them a few more years w/ PB & they will be beggin us for a game like they have to do w/TCU I think Baylor will stay away for awhile after the last home and home , They still see a guy named Booger After next season a UNT/Tech game could be real fun to watch TCU would be a real measuring stick to see where our program currently is , but we are a few years from this LA Tech,NMSU, or TSU could become a nice yearly WIN Rice could be on a downward spiral I wouldn't mind seeing a game vs. UTEP or UH Tulsa , I have never recovered from 54-2 Question : Will local schools stay away from Dodgeball in the next few years ?? We've always had at least 1 somewhat "local" school we have played on our schedule ( Baylor,TCU,SMU,etc.) , can we keep this up ??

Lanear Sampson, a wide receiver from North Mesquite who is a member of Rivals.com's list of the top 100 prospects in the state, orally committed to Baylor on Tuesday night. Sampson had offers from several Division I schools, including North Texas. UNT has loaded up on wide receivers since Todd Dodge took over as the Mean Green's head coach in December. Dodge signed six wide receivers in his 2007 recruiting class and has already landed a soft oral commitment from Mart wide receiver Kenny Barrett for his 2008 class. Barrett committed to UNT, but said he will still listen to other coaches and another scholarship offer could change his mind. UNT already has seven solid players in the fold for 2008, but there is little doubt Sampson would have been the best of the bunch. SMU plays TT in Dallas @ 3pm on Labor Day Sept. 3rd just 5 days prior on taking on the Mean Green. TD & Co. will have 2 extra days of rest and prepare for the Stangs. How much of an advantage is this and how much will the Phonies use this after we beat them again ? Anyone going to go to the game to scout , watch ? I wouldn't mind tailgating with my Green shirt on and watching some College Football. I can't really pull for anyone , it's like picking the lesser of 2 evils, but still I LOVE the College football season.

Been a few days since I posted a poll , so I've had an itch. Topics are slow , but here is a question I asked myself today. Will Brandon Jackson top 1000 yds rec this year ?? He will have to go up against our opponents best corner each week , and may have to catch passes from a few different QBs. Agree , but wouldn't something being named after say Hayden Fry or Mean Joe be more appropriate. Those of just 2 of a few names who really put UNT on the football map. Instead we honor a coach who was 20+ games under .500 who left in a very unprofessional manor

I was hoping that that was a mistake by foxsports.com since they put NORTH TEXAS STATE , I thought maybe they meant Texas State. Collegehoopsupdate tho is always pretty accurate with their information. No way in Hell is right , we already have a good guard rotation set for the next few seasons... so I thought.

Not sure what exactly TD will feel or tell his players , but I bet when DD's Utah State Aggies play in Norman this year , he will tell them what an honor it will be to be on the same field as the Sooners
