Wow u can tell it's the FOOTBALL off season with this thread.... Duran Duran was neither a Duran or a Duran ... talk amongst yourselves
-
I'm from Jersey...... did u say goodbye to her ???

I feel real sorry for Roman , he was in a NO WIN situation. He gets stuck with a HIGH SCHOOL Defensive coach who had no idea how to prepare for a COLLEGE offense , then his 1st task was to cover MALCOLM KELLY. People please don't be all whoo raaa when a kid leaves , they are just that, KIDS. Be like me and be happy that Mendoza is gone and things will get better.

THE 2010 SUNBELT FOOTBALL CONFERENCE WILL CONSIST OF UNT , TEXAS STATE , LAMAR , ULL , ULM & SOUTH ALABAMA

Plum I agree with ya , but at the same time there is not 1 college or pro sports message board that doesn't have it's fair share of trolls , haters and speculators. If only facts were posted , then this board wouldn't really be fun. We have awhile till our next kickoff , so there will be more rumors , speculations and trolls to come.

Maybe best pic yet SUMG!!! Can't believe I read ur post Yes I no Vito isn't nautical or one of the few who suggested it was Vizza leaving. I may be wrong ,but I think the people who have/ will leave are all from the DD regime
-
I wasn't a member of the board at the time , but remember reading something in the DRC after J-Mo's freshman year about the " rumors flying" he was transferring to a bigger school. Sometimes I think Vito puts things on this board to stir things up Oh well , we have a long time till kickoff , I guess we need something to talk about Lost in this , special thanks to Chuck Peterson. Job Well Done!
-
Now I hope some of u morons will shut up about Vizza leaving!!! He will be a 4 year starter here , break every UNT passing record known to man and Riley will red shirt , then be starter for 2 years. If Dodge is still here after that , then Kyle Padron will be the QB of the distant future! Unlike in years past , I hope our fans realize that we will have more quality athletes that so happen to play the position under Dodge. Competition only brings out the best in our players , doesn't mean they are going to automatically leave because they may not start. Everyone is one injury away from making an impact. We will have quality depth people , it's a good thing!!

Vizza says he's coming back, Petersen honored With all the rumors flying that Giovanni Vizza is leaving North Texas, I put in a call to his parents in San Antonio. I met the extended family last season on a flight to Lafayette, where I helped walk it through a grand tradition when flying from Dallas to get to a game against the Ragin' Cajuns -- filling out the forms for lost luggage. Your bags never seem to make the trip with you to Lafayette. But I digress. It just so happened that Vizza picked up the home phone. He said he isn't going anywhere. Vizza's return will set up a battle in the fall for the starting job with head coach Todd Dodge's son Riley. Vizza had a great freshman season, throwing for 2,388 yards and 17 touchdowns. In other news, Mr. Fields, one of the loyal followers of the Mean Green Blog, pointed out that UNT recruiting coordinator Chuck Petersen was honored by recruiting authority Rivals.com as one of the best recruiters at a mid-major program nationally. Petersen is UNT's recruiting coordinator and directed the Mean Green's efforts while it put together what the service called the Mean Green's best recruiting class ever. Petersen did an outstanding job in helping the Mean Green land a class Rivals.com ranks as the third-best in the Sun Belt and the best among the Dallas-Fort Worth area's three Division I schools. The class was also rated among the best signed by a non-BCS program by ESPN.com. It was an impressive effort considering UNT finished 2-10 last season. FIU: Aug 30 @ Kansas Sept 6 @ Iowa Sept 20 vs South Florida Sept 27 @ Toledo Oct 4 @ UNT Nov 22 vs FAU Nov 29 vs WKU ASU: Aug 30 @ Texas A&M Sept 13 vs Southern Miss Nov 1 @ Alabama Nov 15 vs FAU Nov 29 @ UNT * also plays Memphis OOC The thing is with the SBC schools and their schedules they all seem to be "tentative". If a BIG time school wants to move a OOC game or get a different planned opponent , guess which schools they are going to try to move off 1st ? FAU is the only school to come out and give its full schedule so far , someone stated we are trying to move the ASU game to the 15th , yet ASU is set to play them on that date. I guess things could be moved around , but it would take a lot of effort from several different schools. *The full schedule with dates and tentative times can not be released until March 1 due to Sun Belt Conference rules governing all schools.*

I might be in the minority here , but if this is the schedule I'd rather have the 2 weeks to prepare for the MUTs and play ASU on Thanksgiving weekend. If there is any chance that we are still in the SBC title hunt , or have a chance to possibly become bowl eligible with a WIN on a 29th game there WILL be plenty of fans showing up. I know I'd move around my holiday schedule and have family here for the weekend and heck , might even bring a few with me if this is the case. Moving the game to the 15th does not give us one bye week during conference play , thus being at a disadvantage if another foe does have a off week the week before and gives our players no time to heel any bumps or bruises

great post and I can now relate! The guy who lives catercorner behind me still has his Christmas tree not only up , but lit !!!!! I've noticed the lights before for awhile when his blinds were closed , so I figured it was just something in one of his kids rooms hanging on the wall or something. My puppy starts to cry last night about 3 in the morning , so I turn on the back porch light and let her out. I walk out to the end of the deck and notice this guys blinds fully open. The lights I've been seeing ? On a DAMN CHRISTMAS TREE !!!! Dear Baby Jesus , please have this man take down his damn tree , I don't care if it's in his house or not !!!

Not a chance , after what APP St did to Michigan last year , in NO WAY does Miles let his Tigers take this team lightly. LSU won't blow them out by 50 , but they will win.... will be intersting to see the Vegas line on this one when it comes out

No offense SUMG , but I'm always a lot more interested in the new pics u always have posted up at the time than what u have to say ... which sometimes I don't even read , just look

I heard it was Kevin Hart ..... I really didnt want him here anyways
-
Just went back to check , he will attend New Mexico University as a walk on.. Looks like he could become a very quality walk on and hopefully can earn a ship in a few years , best of luck to him
-
With all the stud DBs we are bringing in , I could see maybe someone from last year's team playing back there maybe not wanting to stick around. Also , with Vizza and Dodge to carry the load over the next few years under center , I couldn't imagine another QB liking his chances for any PT. Can't blame anyone for leaving if they just want to go somewhere and play because they have a competitive drive , but at the same time if someone leaves I have to question their drive to get better and confidence for not thinking they can beat someone out of a job. Whoever leaves I wish them the best , but PLEASE NO O or D Lineman

I read on of the scout.com forums awhile back he decided to walk on at UNM or NMSU ( sorry I get the 2 confused sometimes). He was never offered a DI offer , but really wanted to play DI so decided to walk on and prove himself rather than winding up at somewhere like a Eastern New Mexico University. If I find the link , ill post it .

If we are winning , doesn't matter who or when we play... the FANS WILL show up !!
