I've never felt comfortable about any game in the JJ era. We always seem to play to the level of our competition. If this were at a neutral site it would be a coin flip , however Ill take the Mean Green at home 71 - 66.

My INSIDE source tells me that some practices will be open to the public , while others will be closed.

Emmit , if you would change your password from smu to something else then you would be better protected. I got that same message back in December. Someone wasn't trying to buy something on my account , yet they were trying to sell something of there's . Just change your password to something that involves both letters and #'s... like 6smu9. -
2008 Nba Champs ?
NT03 replied to NT03's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
16-3* , The Celts lost all 3 on a west coast swing in a matter of 4 days ( @ DEN , @ G-State , @ Phoenix). The Green Men come back on another west coast swing starting the 17th @ the Spurs , 18th @ Houston , 20th @ Dallas & 22nd @ NO... will be interesting how this trip will play out If they have to play the 4th quarter in every game , then the Mavericks have no shot of winning a NBA title. The team simply can not close out anyone good -

I don't understand why they don't move to the old Brickhouse gym over by Pancho's. Would be a perfect location and there is actually parking and I wouldnt think the rent could be too bad. Who is Mike Jones ? -
2008 Nba Champs ?

I usually don't tune into the NBA till playoff time , but with the race for playoffs births in the WEST being on the line with every game , I can actually watch a regular season game now. -
I think if.... IF we go 7-5 we will get snubbed just like Troy did last year , thus prompting Wright Waters to do all things neccessary to get a 2nd bowl tie in for the BELT in 09 and beyond. If Todge parts the Red Sea and we go 8-4 they can't keep us out of a bowl.

Aug 30th @ Kansas State: My heart wants to say we win , but my head says we fall just short of talent. I think it's safe to say that this opening game vs a BIG XII opponent will go better than last year. KSU 35 UNT 21 (0-1) Sept 6th vs Tulsa: Should be a HUGE crowd. If we pull the upset in Manhattan , expect a sellout. I think again we will fall just short , but this game should help erase the memories of that 54-2 shellacking the Hurricanes put on us last time they came to down. TULSA 28 UNT 24 (0-2) Sept 13th @ LSU: A win under our belt would help with confidence going down to play the Tigers , but in the end it really won't matter. Too much talent to overcome. LSU 45 UNT 14 (0-3) Sept 27th @ Rice: Hopefully LSU won't beat us up too bad and we go down to Houston for Dodge's first road win at the helm. UNT 38 RICE 24 (1-3) Oct 4th vs FIU: Revenge should be on the mind of players and coaches. The home fans deserve a win. UNT 31 FIU 17 (2-3) Oct 25th vs Troy: My upset of the year in the BELT. We got embarrassed last year in Troy even after they gave us every opportunity to be in the game, players should be well motivated for this one. Difference will be QB play and Vizza should be rolling , while Troy is being guided by a 1st year starter UNT 27 Troy 24 (3-3) Nov 1st @ WKU: WKU in their own backyard will be tough. The Hilltoppers remember how last year went and have all intangibles working for them. We have a let down after a big win over Troy and come up short on the road. WKU 31 UNT 21 (3-4) Nov 8th @ FAU: Back to back road games and against the best team in the BELT. FAU will be strong again with several returning starters back. FAU 27 UNT 17 (3-5) TBD @ ULM: ULM will be a very tough game. This could easily go either way. I hope that this game is towards the end of the season and could possibly gain bowl eligibility with a win for extra motivation. With a sip of Green Kool Aid UNT 30 ULM 27 ( 4-5) TBD @ MTSU: The MEAN GREEN start a new win streak vs the MUTs. Remember when we owned these guys ?? That seems forever ago. UNT 34 MTSU 20 (5-5) TBD vs Arkansas St: Always a battle between these two teams , but UNT pulls it out in the end with the home field advantage. UNT 31 ASU 28 (6-5) TBD vs ULL: Being at home will help and with DeRoach back the Mean Green shut down the Cajuns! UNT 28 ULL 7 (7-5) I had to drink a few Green Kool Aids to reach 7-5. My sober mind tells me 5 -7 while my secret inside " source " is telling me that we will go 6-6. I know this is premature , but we have little to talk about this time of year and I dont like it.

I'd like to know , seems like we got a f 'n steal if he's a walk on. Scout.com had him rated as the 96th best recruit in the state in 06. Gave an early verbal to Wisconsin , then later switched to Mizzu. His high school teammate from Seguin , WR Kendall Irving , also committed to the Tigers and also has left the team. All I could gather from the Mizzu board is that Neal left the team under good terms , unlike Irving who apparently was kicked off or something of that nature I'd guess since he came to UNT he was homesick. If he was leaving because he just didn't like the situation in Mizzu , he could have went to several other schools. I have yet to find any stats from his Frosh year , so if he was a redshirt freshman does he still have to sit out a year ? I'm not sure on the twisted NCAA rules , but I would like to think if he did not play a down , he would be eligible this year. This kid could be a future starter http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p...amp;nid=2557056

I hope your not already giving up the game to Bama. Remember in Dodge's first season we did beat UL Monroe , who just so happended to knock of the Crimson Tide. By Dodge's third season , Bama will be a gimmie game

I kinda feel sorry for the kid , he probably has 30 - 40 different people a day telling him where he should go and why he should go there. This is the next 4 - 5 years of his life , I can't blame him for taking his time and seeing what school finally feels right for him. He is still just a kid currently in HIGH SCHOOL and already feels a ton of pressure , I won't hold waiting it out on him.

Looks like Rose might be out at least part of spring I did some asking around today and it looks like backup offensive lineman Chad Rose could be out for at least part of spring practice that is set to begin March 6. Rose has had his arm in a sling, which has hampered him in offseason workouts. Rose started four games last season at left guard while starter Tyler Bailey was recovering from a concussion he suffered in a car accident. Rose started at center as a redshirt freshman and sophomore. If UNT loses Rose for an extended period, it would hamper an offensive line that has already lost Kelvin Drake. UNT's starting center had surgery on his ankle to repair torn ligaments just a few days ago. Bryan Glass was listed as the Mean Green's backup center last season, but Rose could have also slid into Drake's spot. Posted by Brett Vito at 6:18 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) For what it's worth I knew about this for weeks , I have a source on the team too , but I'm not going to put anyone's name out there for an injury report , I'll leave that to the reporters. First time I would bring something up like that , Id probably screw up the injury and mix the players name up anyways.Besides , i like the fact nautigue reports half of it and some of you go crazy.
