  1. I wonder if Daniels had anything to do with former Mizzu signee Donte Neal landing in Denton ?
  2. How long will Dirk be out ? Even if the Mavs get in , they will get bounced in the 1st round and Avery will be packing his bags
  3. DENTON, Texas (3/24/08) – After hitting four home runs last week, North Texas sophomore Rebecca Waters was named the Sun Belt Conference's Softball Player of the Week, announced the league office on Monday. The Mean Green went 4-1 last week with wins against Texas Tech, UTSA and Florida Atlantic. Waters continued her hot hitting this past week with four home runs in five games, including two against conference opponent Florida Atlantic. She has hit all of her six home runs in the last eight games. The second baseman hit a grand slam in the team's 9-4 win against UTSA and capped the team's seven-run second inning. The bases-loaded home run was only the second grand slam in Mean Green softball history. She started the week with a home run against Texas Tech, giving the Mean Green an early 1-0 lead. Against FAU, she ended the game with a solo home run in the sixth inning, giving the Mean Green a 9-1 run-rule victory. She put North Texas ahead, 1-0, with her sixth home run of the season in the 5-0 win against the Owls. Waters hit .467 this week with a slugging percentage of 1.333. She knocked in seven runs and five of her seven hits last week were for extra bases. Her double in the eighth inning of the 1-0 loss to FAU was just inches shy of going out of the park. It hit the fence and fell back into the field for a double. Overall, she is third on the team with a .345 hitting percentage and is tied for the team lead with six homers.North Texas (15-17) is off to its best start in school history and returns to action on Wednesday, March 26 when it faces UTA on the road in a doubleheader at 5 pm. Congrats!
  4. UNT FOOTBALL 08 : Still in Fouts
  5. Stadium thread #1,674 and still counting...
  6. UNT Football 08 : 74 Won't be enough this year !!! UNT Football 08 : The post Albino Squirrel DEFENSE era beings UNT Football 08 : Vizza For Heisman UNT Football 08 : You blitz , touchdown for Fitz
  7. If only we had landed Tyrus Thomas or even had Rod Flemings stay.... no doubt we could consider ourselves in the " BIG III" , but for now we are on the outside looking in and unless we can land an impact player or two in the recruiting processs , it will stay that way.
  8. TeXaS A&M played IN DENTON in either 99 or 2000. I know for a fact , it was my very 1st UNT Basketball game to attend
  9. Wasn't A&M also a home and home ??
  10. Left response at the bottom of the article , I suggest you do too
  11. George Bush hired a jewish man to go steal pizza and burgers at a gay restraunt that only serves to white customers , who was currently on probation for shotting someone who was in his house
  12. I went last night and came away impressed. It's more of an upsacle sportsbar with a menu better than just cheseburgers and fries. TV's everywhere and has a room with stadium seating that inculdes a 144" high def screen. I talked with the owner and you can rent that room out for games , but he was still working on the specifics ( something like $25 a head , inclulds meal , but not adult beverages). Would be a great idea and perfect spot if we ever happen to land on ESPN / ESPN II again for anything. I highly recommend this place , I'll be back for sure and I'm finally glad I can stay close to home as opposed to driving to Lewisville for every major sporting event.
  13. Classic 1st post .. welcome to the board
  14. I lost all respect , interest for this tourny when a 13 - 19 Cincinnati team was asked to play
  15. I think you can add the Mavericks to that list
  16. I hope we land him , we need all the inside help we can get next year. Right now , I'm expecting a .500 type of season next year unless we land an IMPACT player. Who wouldn't want this job... I think it's good job security and the expectations are low. The last person who held this post only had 6 winning season out of 19 ,
  17. Thanks , I think that a " new stadium" has to be a recruiting tool used by the coaches to possible players. No need to show all the negative thoughts of that idea by students and alumni
  18. LooKs like streak will end @ 22.
  19. Hopefully in 20....make that 25 years I'll be retired and living on a beach out of the country ... living basically with all the same benefits as a US citizen , but not having to pay the same taxes
  20. DiSAppOINTing EnD. I didn't notice 1 Dallas player in the paint going for a rebound after an offensive shot in the ENTIRE SECOND HALF!!!
  21. I really thought they would come out strong versus LA. Not looking good...AGAIN!!
  22. The threads left on the "privacy board" are made of nothing more that public info via scout or rivals.com. Doesn't take a genius to be able to type in www.scout.com and go to NORTH TEXAS then hit prospects. You want to protect the recruiting process ?? What a good Idea to move something like the Stadium talk to the public forum. I'm sure if a recruit were to ever read the public forum ( which I doubt anyway) than I'm sure reading about how most of our fans DO NOT think the NEW STADIUM is a reality is a great idea! TD: Don't worry about Fouts , you will only have to play in that dump for 1 more year , until our new stadium is built. Future Recruit: But all those guys on gmg.com say UNT is dragging it's feet and that there will not be a new stadium. Lack of traffic could be due to the.... off season maybe ????
  23. In 20 years from now , I'm guessing more Americans ( legal or not ) will speak Spanish as opposed to English.
  24. IF Troy Franklin lines up on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball , you guys think he's good enough to start as a true FRESHMAN ?? With our lack of depth and size on the D-Line , no way he redshirts. He has the size and the ablility ( IMO) to make a serious impact this year.
  25. If Only there were a CIBNT (College Invitational Basketball National Tournament) that included 16 more teams We should of beat lowly Denver (11-19) and Troy (12-19) on the road. 22 - 9 sounds a lot better than 20 - 11
