  1. Sections A thru Z .... doesn't matter , your still miles away from the field !!!! Rick this is your cue to show the pic with the track
  2. He goes to the same barber as Barry Melrose
  3. I once saw 2 different birds nest in there at the same time
  4. Okay so if Dickey was 22 games under .500 and gets a whole practice field named after him , shouldn't Slinker get 1/2 of a practice court named after her as well ??? U know one of those courts where they set up some kind of net in the middle ???? Or at least a time line ?? I
  5. Also noticed that Fort Worth OD Wyatt product , Montrell McDonald is on that team. A very good 6'6 180 SF who averaged something like 20+ pts 12 reb and 5 dimes at OD Wyatt. Signed with TeXas A&M CC before transfering to Bridgton Academy ( ME) where he averaged 17 and 8. Maybe he wants to come back home ?? Probably couldn't quite fill the shoes that we would of expected from Flemmings , but not a bad plan B !! Same school Cardell McFarland played , so I'm sure Johnny has a few connections that way
  6. Does Jones hit the recruiting trail harder now that he knows he's not going to LSU ?? I'm just saying it had to be in the back of his and maybe even possible recruits heads. I'm hoping the LSU spurn pisses him off and he coaches and recruits with a fire this season. Maybe showing the Tigers they made the wrong choice. I like to have him here , but would never blame him if his old roots ever came a calling.
  7. I don't know that much about hockey , but I'm guessing being up 4 - 0 on the road in the 1st game of the series is a pretty good start.
  8. Kansas State coach Ron Prince has been around college students long enough to know their nocturnal habits. Kansas State University Kansas State's lone day practice comes on Saturdays. That's why Prince has scheduled most of his team's spring practices at night, hoping it will give his players a chance to work on their studies during the afternoon. KSU's spring practices begin at 8:20 p.m., and the work concludes by 10:30 p.m. "Nowadays, most of them don't go to bed until midnight anyway," Prince said. "We just figured this would be the best way to let them keep their schoolwork up while they were practicing. I'm as confirmed as anybody that they are in school to get their degrees." After watching his team struggle through a 5-7 record last season, Prince has closed all of his practices, with the exception of the spring game. He has joked to reporters that he is throwing the Berlin Wall around his team this spring for the night practices. "I love having open practices, and I know the players love to participate in them," Prince said. "But we didn't play well late last year. I'm not going to reward them with having open practices. We're going to work in solitude. I don't like to have this attitude, but I wanted to make a point to the players. I want to see how they perform and react to this." The late work is cutting into the players' television and video-game-playing time, but quarterback Josh Freeman understands his coach's reasoning. "I don't particularly like this, but it's being done for the betterment of the team," Freeman said. "We're working out at night, which is a time you might normally want to relax after school and practice. But it's kind of a blessing. We don't have anything going on during the afternoon, so I either kick back or do my papers then." The Wildcats are working this spring without leading returning wide receiver Deon Murphy, who is being held out of practice because of academics. Murphy led the Big 12 in punt returns and also produced 57 receptions last season. "This could end up being a blessing in disguise for us," Freeman said. "It should benefit us by building some depth at the position. Deon's a great player and a burner, but we're having a bunch of other guys step up. We're getting guys a lot of reps, and they are really improving with the playing time."
  9. If Johnson is just 1/2 of the package ( no pun intented) with his teammate Malcolm Kirkland also coming , it's a good sign.
  10. Do we know if they even applied ??
  11. Yet another YOUNG pitcher they trade away , yet another gem in the making???? Why I HATE the Rangers. Quick tell me whom they recieved in return for just a few names that I'll throw out there Alfonso Soriano, Tex, Chris Young Edwin Volquez's Cincy debut today : 5.1 IP , 5 H , 1 ER , 2 BB , 8 K .. Cincy wins 8 - 2 over Philly
  12. This thread is worthless. He's not coming here , nor would he want to , nor would we want him.
  13. Did you say FOOTBALL board ???
  14. They have also included powerhouses Alcorn State in 2009 and SE Louisiana in 2010
  15. I'm not here to take a shot at Slinker , but I feel no matter who RV decides to hire we can consider it an upgrade. Capps and Brock would be VERY SOLID hires , I honestly don't know that much about Stephens , but she seems she might have to fire for the job. As for Leiberman , that would definitely make a splash and raise some eye brows in the Women's basketball world. My only question about her is , would we be able to afford someone with her credentials ?? I'm sure ESPN pays her nicely and she makes money with her clinics among other things Anyone know what Slinker's annual salary was ?
  16. I would be willing to guess that a majority of the voters are students
  17. I may be wrong... but THE BEST PIC YET SUMG....BY FAR !!!
  18. I've got a mini worm era helmet along with several others from ebay. The man who makes and sells them post on here every once in awhile , bflan ( I think). You might want to give him a PM and see if he can make you a full size version. All the ones I've gotten from him ( like 5 ) are real sharp looking.
  19. Capps to interview, football notes Former UT-Arlington head coach Donna Capps said Thursday that she will interview to become the next head coach at UNT sometime next week. Capps took UTA to the NCAA Tournament twice before leaving the school to become an administrator at the high school level. Capps said she believes UNT has a lot of potential as a program. There will be a full story in tomorrow's Denton Record-Chronicle detailing what Capps and some of the other candidates for the UNT job had to say in the last few days. On the football front, UNT head coach Todd Dodge said that all of his players that were not already ruled out for the spring will participate in Friday's scrimmage. UNT will make up the one practice that was postponed due to weather on Monday. The weather threatened to cut the Mean Green's practice on Thursday short, so the team changed the agenda for its workouts, starting with the team drills that would usually take place at the end of practice. The key drill of the day was a third-down scrimmage that included 21 scenarios. The Mean Green's defense won the scrimmage 13-9, stopping its counterparts on offense 13 times. The offense converted nine opportunities. Former Southlake Carroll wide receiver and Rice transfer Evan Fentriss continued to work out on the side during practice while recovering from an injury. Head coach Todd Dodge said he expects Fentriss to be ready to resume running patterns and working out with the Mean Green's quarterbacks on July 1, which would give him time to prepare for the season. A couple of impressive plays were made by UNT's wide recievers during drills at the end of practice. Sam Roberson made a nice catch over Antoine Bush for a touchdown. Breece Johnson also made a nice grab on a fade pattern. Post your thoughts on the blog. Is Donna Capps the best pick for UNT's next basketball coach? Who is your pick? 20. If Horton is as good as advertised Gilmore will only get better , thus helping my predection that Eddrick Gilmore will be the next MEAN GREEN player to be drafted If Fentriss can come back healthy and Fitz commanding the opponents best corner and/or double teamed all Roberson needs to do is catch the fly route Who's been returning kicks ?
  21. Are both protected ? They gave up 2 , right ? I wonder if/what they would have to then give up if the MaVs wound up with a lottery pick
