Any North Texans Coming To Murfreesboro ?
NT03 replied to KAjunRaider's topic in Mean Green Football
That must of cost a fortune , i usally just get one for like 8 minutes -
I guess Todge hasn't figured somethings out. Unless your in the SEC or Big XII you don't have to have top of the line WRs or RBs. A great OL will make any average RB look great , thus opening up a passing game and making the QB and WR even better than they are. A great DL will make average LBs and DBs also look great. The game always has and always will be WON in the trenches. This is not a 7 on 7 passing game. Get us some BIG Beef on both sides and our WR / DB problems will go away. Just look at the NYG last year. They had NO secondary at all last year , yet they shut down one of the greatest passing teams in the history of the NFL. How ??? A operpowering DL. We could have 20 5 star WRs on the roster , but it would make us no better if we had say 2, 2 star lineman. He has too do what he can to get these LINE kids in here..it has to be his top priority !!!!! Bye Weeks suck

If Brock doesn't overpower and knock Couture out within the first 2 minutes I don't think he has a chance. Randy is too experienced and one false move from a guy ,with only 3 fights under his belt, will be tapped out ! -

Southern Arkansas is where that big 7' tall homeschooled kid from Wheatherford wound up. -
Former long-time Voice of the Broncos and KBOI talk show host Paul J Schneider has reported that Boise State president Bob Kustra has received a letter from the Mountain West Conference regarding an invitation to join the league. Boise State is currently a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Everyone from Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson to Kustra is refuting any contact has been made. "I can categorically say Dr. Kustra has not received a letter from the Mountain West Conference. No correspondence has been exchanged, there are no active discussions nor change of status regarding conference affiliations," said BSU spokesman Frank Zang after speaking with Kustra on Tuesday afternoon. Thompson was asked about membership expansion in the nine-member Mountain West on Monday. He said he does not expect expansion and that the "next time the board meets is in June." Thompson was also asked if including Boise State in the league would help the conference gain status as an automatic qualifier for the BCS. "I don’t know," Thompson said. "My personal opinion is that they probably wouldn’t be 12-0, taking nothing away from Boise State. I don’t know that they would go undefeated against the top four teams that are vying for the conference championship at this point." Utah, TCU, BYU and Air Force are competing for the league crown. A school must notify the WAC of its intention to leave by July 1 of the year before it wants to leave. For example, Boise State would have to alert the WAC by July 1, 2009 in order to leave the league by July 1, 2010. A school leaving the conference would also forfeit any end-of-year payment from the league for that year. So if Boise State were to leave the WAC and then make a BCS bowl in 2009, the Broncos would not receive their share of that revenue. http://voices.idahostatesman.com/2008/11/1...e_mountain_west

Gm And Ford Bailout
NT03 replied to DeepGreen's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
How much of the so called bailout money do you really think will be used to actuall "bailout". These people will just use our money to buy luxury cars , take expensive vacations among other things. I've always been against the bailout and now i hear CEOs among others are going to get bonuses as part of this F'n bailout , good GOD!! -
UNIVERSITY PARK – Three SMU starters – junior receiver Emmanuel Sanders, sophomore receiver Aldrick Robinson and linebacker Justin Smart – have been suspended for the final two games. Sanders, Robinson and Smart were suspended under coach June Jones' "three strikes" rule. A player can pick up a strike for missing or being late to practice, team meetings and study halls, among other violations. Jones said the suspensions will serve notice about what it takes to build a winning program. "No team wins with players that don't pay attention to detail. You can't do it," Jones said. "It's hard to make these tough decisions, but as a leader you have to do them." Robinson (1,047) and Sanders (958) are ranked No. 4 and No. 10 in the nation in receiving yards. Robinson has 11 touchdowns and is tied with Emanuel Tolbert (1978) for the SMU season record. Sanders has at least 600 receiving yards in each of his three seasons, a first on the Hilltop. He also has nine touchdowns. But the Mustangs are well-equipped at receiver, with freshmen Cole Beasley and Bradley Haynes having strong games against Memphis. Beasley had two touchdown receptions last week and has 34 catches for 281 yards. Haynes made his first start last week in place of Wilkerson and caught five passes for 64 yards. Smart, who moved from defensive end to middle linebacker this season, is second on the team in tackles with 74.

maybe he was out getting his younger brother to be our next commit

Id be a terrible guess , but it wasn't too bad for a "warm up" game versus a team most people have probably never heard of. The Maniacs were in mid season form.T he 2 students behind their bench were really giving that coach some fits and they even had their players laughing.

Our biggest concerns right now should be working on breaking a full court press and ball movement. Neither of our 2 points are what you would call passers , both seem to be shoot 1st and pass 2nd

I think we need a UNT cage match between Stone Cold and Kevin Von Erich OFF TOPIC, but who the hell is ASK JEEVES ?? maybe jeeves and google.com could be on the undercard

Everyone plays real tough DEFENSE and gets after it , that's the most impressive thing about JJ's team. White ran the point more than Johnson when both were on the floor. It might be because he knows this team more , but he seemed to see the floor much better than Johnson at this point. Not sure on the final stats , but we were 3-5 behind the arc and 11-18 from the free throw line at the half.

Left with a few minutes left so I'm not sure on the final score , but we were up about 20. Josh White,Dominique Johnson,Tristian Thompson,George Odufawa (sp?) and Howerton started. Collin Dennis didn't play so I'm guessing he is nursing a injury. Hogans started in place of Howerton to start the 2nd half. White,Thompson and Stewart I thought were all really bright spots.

That's a sweet , old school looking avator u got there Kajun. Did MTSU ever use that ??? -
IM IN , BOUT TO ROLL OUT !!! I guess i was wrong , I thought Cameron was tonight in the Snake Pit , but I guess that's Friday's game ??
-
I think he meant Harold Stewart , not Edwards. I think Stewart has a good shot at starting and if not log some very important minutes. I can't believe he's not getting more love from you guys. Yes , we have some great guards , but our success will depend on our post play and Stewart will be a major factor. He's 7th on the all time blocks list and our leading returning rebounder.
