Johnson County Community College Nafis Ricks Freshman Guard Philadelphia, Pa. Freshman guard Nafis Ricks averaged 28.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals in JCCC¹s two games last week. He shot 64 percent from the field, and 70 percent at the line. Ricks had 26 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals leading the Cavaliers to a 75-61 road win at Highland, Jan. 30. He followed with a career high 31 points, along with 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals in a near upset (72-76) over nationally ranked Independence Feb. 2. Ricks is JCCC¹s leading scorer (15.3 ppg.) and rebounder (7.7 ppg.) this season. He also ranks tied for 17th in the NJCAA with a 2.8 steals per game average
