Good points , but at this point in his career I'd take Bibby & Raymond Felton over Kidd. Do the Mavs really have the time for him to mentor someone ? I mean even if he did they would trade him away and at that point Dirk will probably be on the downslide of his playing ability

I think it will be borderline with or without Kidd on making the playoffs. Even with Kidd I can't see the Mavs doing any better than say a 7th seed and a 1st round exit. Mavs need someone like Ariza , but I don't see him leaving LA. If Kidd goes , maybe NJ would be willing to trade Alston since he has already been rumored in deals since aquired in the VC deal.

2,500/12 games = 208 yds per game Just to compare : Vizza had 2,388 yds his 1st season ( 10 games) & 2758 yds his soph year 208ypg isn't all that much , but Riley will make up some would be passing yds with his feet by gaining them on the ground and you have to wonder if he can stay healthy for all 12 games in 09.
