If we asked Dodge to stepdown as head coach , but still keep him on staff and move to QB coach / recruiter and he refused would we still have to pay him ?

This would just cap off a already great weekend for UNT sports

Let's just say for kicks he is canned , would you support our next coach for a 4th year if he too goes 5 - 31 after his 1st 3 seasons. Doesn't matter who it is , what kind of recruit he gets , how close our games our , who we beat or lose to .... just if he goes 5 - 31 after 3 years would you still support him ? No need to explain , just a simple yes or no question.

Great post Emmitt... I love it when people say , we'll our team will be older next year and have another year in the system. Well you know what , that can be said about every single player returning on every single team in the country. Some people are so blind they don't consider that other teams also practice and improve on a year to year basis

We will have one after the Arkansas St game. If afraid if I did that one right now it would be 90% for TD to go , but maybe if he can beat ARK St some people might just be willing to give him 1 more year

He's going to finish 5 - 31. If before he was hired I told you he would be 5 - 31 would you want to hire him ? Then why would you keep him around for a 4th year ? These close game excuses are tiresome. TD could have also easily lost all 5 games that he has WON and be sitting at 0 - 35.

Of course he is going to improve after the 1st two seasons , they were 2 of the worst seasons in college football history by any team to ever step on a football field. We are just basically back to where we started when we had DD in his last few seasons. WIN 2 games a year and lose some close games to other SunBelt teams. So IMO is basically back to square 1 since he started , nothing has improved since he has arrived. Recruiting wise yes , but it doesn't help if you can't coach them and I'm afraid we could have a poor class for 2010 after another 2 win season. I'd rather have a 4 star coaching coaching 1 star players and walkons than a 1 star coaching coaching 4 star players. TD & his coaching improvement is like getting some fat kid and telling him to run the mile for the 1st time and he gets clocked at 45:00 min. 2nd time he gets a 43:50 and on the 3rd attempt he blazes in at a 39: 30 and some people want to tell him how fast he is getting and that one day he will WIN an olympic gold medal if he keeps improving.

Riley has been carrying the football like a loaf of bread since the Spring game. If Todd can't see that and fix that problem or if Riley can't fix it on his own or refuses to change then TD should bench him , those fumbles come back to Todd one way or the other.

Yup , outside the 4 TOs we missed out on 3 TDs because the ball was underthrown and the WR had to sit and either come back or wait on the pass. Besides , all the WRs are going to do is catch bubble screen after bubble screen. I like Riley , but a college QB is not his best position. I don't know if Tune is the answer , but whoever it is could have a field day with the talent we have. WRs : Stafford , Cole , Carey , Lewis , Dodge RBs : Dunbar & Hamilton

Most RB can't get into a groove with just a handful of carries. Lance was the best athelete on the field tonight , give him 25 carries and I bet he would of broke 3 long TD runs.

There is a reason they play that way , it's the way they our coached. Can't blame this on the players ... seriously ... is that what the TD apologist are going to do now blame it on the players ?

piss poor clock management at the end of the 1st half too. Clock was at 1:19 and we wait till 1:05 to call a timeout ? Then we call a designed run , then waste our last time out ? Pathetic
