I'm holding out hope that TD has been secretly holding onto a stud DT or DE that he will announce on Wednesday. If not my hopes are dashed. We only had 1 decent pass rusher last year in Gilmore and he's gone

I think most on board wanted Capps after Slinker was let go , but I'm willing to give her another year to see what she can do. Why you ask ? Because honestly there is not that many people who care about women's basketball so why buy her out of her contract and waste money on something that doesn't even make money to begin with. I see a lot of her program in TDs program. Both have had a ton of kids leave the program , both have suffered the worst losses in school histoty and both are being college head coaches for the 1st time. Difference is she actually has double the winning % as TD does. If people are willing to give Dodge a 4th year , then they should be willing to give SS a 3rd.

That's Knott the case Those are the length of the field goals made, not yardline that we got to. A standard FG atttempt is 17 yards back from the spot of the yardline. Getting to the 30 yard line would mean a 47 yd FG attempt

I think it's a pretty safe bet that this only a 1 bid team this year. Everyone is beating everyone so no team stands out at all. Best case for the league is to have the regular season conference champ lose in the tourny to secure a NIT bid. One week I think South Bama is the best team , the next week it's wKu. Then it's UNT , then it's Arkansas State. It's nothing but a crap shoot this year and the team that catches fire late will be dancing.

This. Misery loves company I'll man up and admit that I've done nothing but be negative towards the football program for awhile. I didn't see anything wrong with it until people came over to my Basketball board ( ok it's really not mine , but I'm one of the few who live over here ) and be negative towards JJ's program here recently. This is one of the few bright spots we have on campus. We should be very thankful JJ is here and that he wants to build a strong program. Is he the best coach in the country ? No way. Could UNT get someone better ? Maybe , but that's not a guarantee. JJ is a very respected coach around the nation and lead us the BIG DANCE just a few years ago. I see a few posters who are online and don't post anything at all after a win or they post that we shouldn't of won that game or it wasn't good enough. Then the same posters are quick to be so negative after every loss and almost seem proud that we did so just so they can pump out their chest and say "told you we sucked". I don't get it. Either you love UNT or you don't. It's like a marriage.It can't be conditional. This attitude helped open my eyes on how negative I've been towards TD and the FB program. Although I'm not happy about our situation , I'm going to go into this season with a new, better , positive attitude.
