SEC will still be a stronger conference even if all those overrated schools move out west

Arkansas last 2 years in the SWC they went 9 - 14 , so it's not like they were in national title hunts Yes I agree it helps teams like Alabama for Texas players , but like I said in the beginning that would hurt UT more than a&m

Every team in the country already recruits Texas , conference shifting is not going to change anything. All colleges have been coming to the great state of Texas for several years tying to steal away talent Because they go head to head w/ UT,OU,OK St on almost every single recruit they get. A a&m coach can go into a kid's house and say " wouldn't you want to play in the best conference in the country ? " Not saying they will be a dominant team in the SEC , but compared to the BIG XII teams that may be leaving they will have a edge over them on potential future players Not to mention the more $ they will get from the SEC compared to the PAC 10

Selling a recruit to the SEC is easier than trying to sell a recruit to the PAC 10.

I'm pulling for this

a&m will be playing in the SEC , this is more of a blow to UT in the long run. SEC > Pac100 Recruiting will get better for a&m and they don't need the $ game with Texas because games vs Arkansas & LSU will do just fine.

How many schools out there would actually benefit a move to the SunBelt ? Isn't it all about improving your current situation.I mean thats all anyone wants to talk about. So please tell me what schools would improve their status by coming to the Belt. Outside of maybe LaTech coming in from a broken up WAC to cut travel cost (even though they want nothing to do w/ the other LA schools) I can't think of 1 Don't worry , I'll wait Waters does get paid to be the commish , but he's done less than a stellar job IMO

This conference talk is giving me tired head. At the end of the day it doesn't matter where we are. The rich are just getting richer and those who are not in the " power conferences" are nothing more than warm up games for the big boys that the rest of the country could care nothing about. Maybe this is the start to finally getting a football playoff ? If so, that just means that maybe those who are not in the power conferences will all get to battle it out for 1 spot in a 16 team field where you are just about guaranteed to get your ass kicked in the 1st round , but hey atleast you get a chance right ? If not a playoff then we get to hang our hats on maybe a New Orleans Bowl or that ever elusive Pappa John's bowl game that is played every year in .... Hell who cares Let's face it we only have 2 options : The Sunbelt or the WAC. We aren't getting into C-USA because of SMU the same way Baylor isn't going to get into the MWC because of TCU. It's just how things work. UNT has no pull. Yes we are in the DFW area ,but that doesn't mean we have DFW rating power. In Dallas it's UT,a&m,OU,Tech and that will not change. We don't even have a Denton fanbase much less a metroplex. You think a conference is drooling over UNT because of a dallas tv market ? Feel free to check out any of the ratings we did on our past games on channel 21. Man I can't wait for CLEMSON !!

He's NO Dennis Martinez !!! I think this is great for the Nationals , they need something positive for their franchise. I can't pencil him in yet for the HOF cus I remember how amped I was when Mark Prior made his debut. Hopefully Strasburg stays healthy enough to have a great career
