Gotta disagree. It's time to start raising expectations We are in year 4 now and your saying it's okay to just " hang " with fellow conference mates ? This is the Sunbelt , not the SEC. Those 2 are maybe top 50 , not top 10. I think we are past moral victories , especially when it's just Troy & MTSU. No reason we shouldn't be beating these teams by now. If we do lose to Troy & MTSU , Dodge better go 6 - 0 in all other conference games with 1 OOC victory. Only way 6 - 6 will cut it is if we beat K state in the finale & RV makes he decision on the high from that WIN

Do we know how many seats are available for each section ? Just looking back over the years at attendence I just can't see all these seats getting sold if things on the field do not change or there is a drop in price. Times are hard enough already & it seems we just don't have a ton of die hard fans. Even the die hard fans that we do have most can't just fork over thousands of dollars. I'm not trying to be negative and I hope I'm wrong , but are there enough people who follow the program to sell out all of these club seats ? If we were coming off a couple of bowl seasons then this probably wouldn't be a concern , but until things are changed on the field I can't expect to have these sold out

Hate to lose him too , I think it was the UL game where he laid that sick hit which caused a fumble. The addition of Frank Gaines makes up for his loss tho

It's about that time for a HOT sports topic before the season. Would you consider the RICE game a must win game for Todd Dodge ? I say yes. Let's face it we will be heavy underdogs vs the likes of Clemson,Troy,MTSU & K -State. Dodge has to win 7 games and if we lose to those 4 Dodge would have to go 7 - 1 in all other games. Rice was one of the youngest teams in the country , is under a 2nd year head coach & was 2 - 10 last season. This game reminds me of the SMU game a few years back. It's important for so many reasons. Big for the players , recruiting and the fans. We have several casual fans out there for the home opener like we do every year so I think a win would bring most people back for the next home game We got our a$$ handed to us the last time we played them so there should be no shortage of motivation. Rice would probably be a middle of the pack , lower tier Belt team so this should be a good measuring stick on where we might wind up @ the end of the season If Dodge can't win this game then I can't see him reaching his 7 wins.

I look at it is : we will now have a coach who's heart is 100% into it & ready to prove himself vs. one who was good , but also knew that his chances of being here beyond this year were slim thus making his heart not 100% into it. Best of luck & welcome aboard coach Bryant
