  1. A very interesting look at a very complicated individual. There was a hell of lot more to Ricky Williams than I ever imagined. This series is just tremendous. They did a great show last week called Silly Little Game, about the creation of fantasy sports.
  2. Kram, I dare you to roll a soccer ball out there for the opening kickoff.
  3. Try this: Make sure I got the date correct.
  4. If he's been dismissed from UCLA, would he have to sit out a year at his new school?
  5. Take the school allegiance out of it. Imagine you know a coach who has worked his way up through the ranks, paid his dues, and proven himself. You've gotten to know this a coach and you respect him professionally and like him personally. Would you want to see this person who you like and admire coach for $200,000 in the Sun Belt Conference or for $700,000 in the SEC? I want Coach Jones to stay here, but he's earned the right for his shot at the bigger stage and the bigger money, and that's all the reporters are saying.
  6. Work? I'll be there. Thanks, Harry, for helping to arrange.
  7. Nice doubleheader.
  8. ESPN now has all the first-round game times. ESPN. BYU vs. Florida is at 11:20 our time, then UNT vs. KSU at 1:40.
  9. Here are some new avatars from this season, including from the SBC tournament. Coach Johnny Jones: George Odufuwa: Josh White: Eric Tramiel: Celebrating the Sun Belt championship: The final score from the SBC title game: Odufuwa's shot block in the closing seconds: Eric Tramiel on defense: All are also at Mean Green World.
  10. Wouldn't be a bit surprised. There are Tech fans all over the Dallas area. You can barely drive down a street around Dallas without seeing a Tech logo on the back of a car.
  11. Here's something a little more polished with better images. The line of text beneath the row of photos has the names of Coach Jones and all the players who played in the SBC Tournament championship game. There was not enough room to list the entire roster, which was my preference. 1024x768 | 1280x1024 | 1440x900 | 1680x1050 | 1920x1080] | 2200x1238
  12. I slapped this together this morning. I took some images from the ESPN360 broadcast, so the image quality is not good. The design is too busy, but it's for re-living the great moments from last night: the go-ahead basket, the shot block, and the celebration. Click on the image size below. 1024x768 | 1280x1024 | 1440x900 | 1680x1050 | 1920x1080 I will try to have something better later this week or this weekend.
  13. No replay at 11:00.
  14. Josh was on at 10:38 on ESPN2. The show is two hours long and repeats beginning at 11:00 a.m.
  15. Perfect. I will watch for them. Thanks
  16. Let me see what I can do.
  17. I think Channel 8 led with us on their sportscast tonight. I came in a few seconds into Dale Hansen's sports, but he was talking about the win and showing highlights. At the very least, we were near the top of their sportscast. So kudos to Dale. Channel 11, however, buried us. Babe Laufenberg led the sports with a story on Saturday's boxing match at Cowboys Stadium, followed by a story on the Mavericks (who did not play tonight), and then a story on UT spring football practice. That's right, a f'ing story on f'ing UT f'ing spring f'ing football f'ing practice. Then they talked about North Texas. Didn't see what 4 or 5 did.
  18. Lunardi has projected Troy as the No. 15 seed in the West Region. Guess we know who he thinks will win tonight. Projected NCAA Bracket
  19. One slight correction on your synopsis: Matt: "Well, who is on our side?" Col. Tanner: "Six hundred million screamin' Chinamen." Darryl: "Well, last I heard, there were a billion screamin' Chinamen." Col. Tanner: "There were."
  20. We had some large crowds in the Bill Blakely era when NT had a reputation for being a really tough place to play. We had big crowds for Texas (win), SMU (win), Kansas State with Rolando Blackman (win), and DePaul with Mark Aguirre (narrow loss).
  21. Thank you, guys. That's very kind of you.
  22. It's no longer a matter of trust or faith or belief. The University already put its trust in Dodge when it hired him and then kept him on the job despite a 5-31 record. We put our trust in him by joining and renewing the Mean Green Club and buying tickets and showing up week after week despite the mounting losses. This year it's a matter of Todd Dodge proving himself a Division I Football Bowl Subdivision head coach, and the only way to do that is to win. No excuses. I have no expectations, positive or negative. I have hope, and I will continue to support this team. I sincerely hope that every member of this board will, after the 2010 season, wish to have Todd Dodge back for a fifth season. But that sentiment must be earned in the fall, not given in January.
  23. From ESPN: Leach suspended after player complaint
