So Chevy, Dodge, and Ford all on the team - at least the automotive industry is going strong.

While I very much agree that the BCS system is broken and corrupt, I can't help but to think that we should be careful what we wish for. I can't imagine North Texas being included in any D1 playoff. I don't see them allowing a Sun Belt school the luxury of playing for a national championship. If the BCS is broken up, you can be sure that it will still only benefit your traditional powers and not lay the framework for really cool sports moments such as the NCAA basketball tourney.

He has always been my favorite author. This really is unexpected.

I always figure pro sports are different. I don't have a degree from Dallas or Arlington or whatever city holds a pro team. I can refer to the Cowboys as "us" but I know that in reality "us" simply refers to the a team that the only relation I have to is that they happen to reside near me. Now when I say "us" when refering to North Texas -- you had better believe I include myself. In college, you won't be seeing a team become like the old browns or the old oilers. In a way, it is what makes NCAA sports great.

Lets face it, not many are adopting North Texas. Many more "adopt" whoever will let them high five other wannabes on the weekend. I admire your friends who come to the NT games with you - they obviously are in this for real and aren't just hopping on the Mean Green bandwagon because of wanting to be associated with a winner. We need many more like them. Obviously that isn't who he was referring to. He was referring to the guy from sales that has such a pathetic life Monday - Friday that they must find a team that will almost gurantee a win on Saturday. The guy that will tell you how bad your team sucks and how awesome his horns are. Texas douche is all around - his krytonite is this question: What year did you graduate?

Green Nightmare, Emmitt and I sat right behind you. Thanks so much for the radio early on. Great atmosphere for a great game. Loved the cheering by the room on the final play - I think even Texas/Texas Tech Douche spotted around the room was cheering.

I think he has regressed unfortunatly. Calvin mentioned it in another thread, but I think we all thought that the Navy game was a glimpse into the future. It obviously isn't. The long ball simply isn't accurate enough to make opposing defenses account for it.

A very large crowd. Flyer is right though, they were pretty unenthusiastic. Dodge and a few key players spoke. They thanked the student body for the vote and implied that they would thank them with a victory.

I ahve been told one way in which the opposition is voting is the use of iphones or other internet enabled cellphones. They just find someone who will support their evil cause, and get them to sign in to their phone and vote. So students - use your phone, bookmark the page, and go get 'em. Wonder if a young college girl would be effective in getting a few votes?

Well at the least it is for athletics, as the sports website is on the side.
