I really think his chances of making it are slim right now. He needs a bit of consistency. Perhaps he could play in the developmental league or even overseas. I think the developmental league would be a good place for him to go and still see some NBA scouts as well as a good amount of talent.

JJ said on the post game show that the ref told him it was because he was out at half-court. JJ responded that he was right in front of the players bench.

40....wow. I like numbers like that. I am assuming putting up 40 is against pretty weak competition, but I don't know.

He as the size no doubt. But I really would like to see him become more of a scoring threat in the paint. Hopefully that will come though.

I am Steven Pettit. I graduated in Aug. 2002 in Kinesiology. Currently I am attending Texas Tech University in Amarillo to get my PharmD. degree (Pharmacist). Can't make it to too many fb or bball games due to the distance as well as school work (this stuff is pretty hard). I hope to make a few fb games next season just as I was able to get away for about 3 games this season. Come 2006 it is season ticket time!!!!

I like Shane's idea of Green lights all around the stadium. Light pollution? I can't imagine it would radiate off of the stadium. I really think its a good idea. Something else I have thought about: We have all seen the fake flames at one time or another made of red, orange and yellow cloth being blown upwards with a fan amid fire colored lights. I wonder what type of effect that would do on a very large scalewith green cloth and lights. It would have to be indoors behind glass, but I would bet it would make you notice the home of the Mean Green. It could always be lit, not just for victories. The eternal Mean Green flame.

I was thinking more of a large (and I mean large) Eagle Statue with Green lights shining up on it. Of Course it would be placed very high so that all could see its beauty.

I was wondering when someone would get upset. Both perhaps. It is just that students or fans won't go that far to the tower. Keep the tower lights................have the "rally" near the stadium. Light them both.

Ok, well I know many Talons and other traditionalists will argue this one: Nobody ever goes to the lighting of the tower anymore. It just isn't said enough during the game and/or people are just too lazy to make the trip to the administration building. When it is lit (usually any Saturday night in the fall semester ), you pretty much have to been on campus to see it. So I propose "moving" the tradition when the stadium goes across I35. I can't imagine many making the trek to the administration building with the increased distance and I see a lot more participation if there was something just outside the stadium. We could still have green lights, but now they could be seen by all that go by I-35 E as well as I-35 W. People driving by would know that the Mean Green has done it again. Imagine several thousand outside the new stadium singing "Glory to the Green" right before we alert Denton we are victorious. That and a couple of indoor giftshops much like at "The Ballpark in Arlington"

War Wagon is a great name for the truck and I hope that the fire department does not back down. Does that lady really think that America is more or less likely to have war because of what a Fire Engine's name is? I know some of you really liked the name Eppy, but wasn't it because of this same kind of reasoning that the student body changed the name of Scrappy to Eppy?

I think this is equivalent to the Hunter Wall situation with the football team. It never worked out for the fb team to have Wall on the team but hopefully this kid works out better. One part of me does agree with ShaneB, and that is that is I hope we don't transfer all his problems. Maybe he has learned his lesson.
