  1. I've told myself to stay out of those types of discussions, but I couldn't help myself. Some people are just ignorant and only care about what affects their life.
  2. I'm not positive, but I think that makes North Texas an Ivy League school now.
  3. Brian Waters blocking for Lance Dunbar! Interest in Brian Waters indicates Cowboys prefer to play R Travis Frederick at C if they find a quality OG with Ron Leary emerging — Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) August 1, 2013
  4. I don't blame these guys. Everybody else (the Power 5 conferences) seem to want more and more money, so why can't the players? To say that these guys are killing the sport is the failure to recognize that there are other factors contributing to the demise of college football.
  5. Congrats Emmitt! Just a little tip....I hear TCU football players love them some drugs, so you may want to focus your efforts on/around the TCU campus. If you do that, you will surely get your next promotion within 4-6 months. In all seriousness, goodluck on the new position.
  6. Respect is earned, not given....so sit down and shut up rookie.
  7. Lot of trash talk coming from a school who barely won against Texas A&M........Commerce.
  8. There's a little cameo from Lance Dunbar here. http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia/videos/Helmet-Cam-DeMarco-Murray/261378a2-bceb-48fb-b5c4-facb3020995c
  9. These are the kinds of stories that remind you that there's more to life than just winning and losing. Great story and thanks for sharing.
  10. Thank you. I'm getting sick and tired of hearing people say there are too many D1 schools and that the power 5 need to separate themselves. Last time I check this was "College" Football, not the NFL. I say if they try to exclude the non-AQ conferences, then we should pull out of the NCAA Basketball & Baseball Tournaments. Heck, the Cinderella's are what make March Madness interesting in the first place. Greed has overcome these schools, so let them go and see how it all plays out for them. There's plenty of talent out there to have 2 relevant college leagues.
  11. I have to admit, I'm impressed that its taken this long for uniform talk. Usually happens around late June/early July. Times are a changin' around here.
  12. 100% agree. I believe our university, for the most part, has made the decision to be "all in" regarding athletics. However, that hasn't translated on the field and unfortunately, that's all that matters. A couple of years ago we were all got excited about the new commitment to making our facilities top tier, but I expect great facilities now so I'm not impressed anymore. What good does a new basketball practice facility do if we can't produce wins?....especially with the team we had in place?? I want wins....and I want them now! It's time for the coaches and players to take responsibility and change the tide. Throwing more money at athletics isn't going to fix our problem.
  13. I heard it will still be made but will be called College Football instead of NCAA Football
  14. All I want for Christmas is a Hilbert-esq hit on this guy.
  15. I hope they actually incorporate the large athletics murals on the walls as illustrated in the video. Building school spirit is something our campus seriously lacks.
  16. I'd like to request that all current and future GMG moderators add the following to their signature in order to prevent confusion. "The statements above do not reflect the official beliefs and opinions of GoMeanGreen.com."
  17. Here's the game winning dunk. http://www.nba.com/video/games/heat/2013/07/11/20130711-sl-det-mia-play5.nba
  18. If you didn't just watch the Pistons-Heat game, then you missed a great one. Pistons were down by 10+ at the half and the Pistons came back to win it in the last couple of seconds...and guess who hit the game winner.....Tony Mitchell. I will update with a video once it's available because it was amazing.
