You obviously don't get it. He didn't call a TO because it was 3rd down. He would have had to burn 2 timeouts in a row (3rd down and 4th down) to get keep the clock stopped. He wanted to keep 2 TO's going into the last possession, therefore he only called one on 4th down. Either way, time isn't what kept us from winning. It was lack of discipline and execution from the players. We've seen them play great before, so it obviously isn't how they were coached. They just didn't get it done tonight. Plain and simple.

Who plays the game? The players. It's time to hold the players accountable. We blame everything on coaching when it's the actually players who don't execute like they are taught. This is as good of a coaching staff as any and I don't blame them for what happened tonight.

Agree. The sky is not falling. It was a well fought game, but we made too many mistakes. The good thing is I don't feel like hope is lost, which is more than I could say any of the past 6 years.

I don't have a problem with this play. I actually think it was a great play call, just poorly executed. They had the entire defense sitting back for the big play and a screen would have worked nicely....had the players not screwed it up. Canales won't be fired and doesn't deserve to be.

If I were playing North Texas, I would throw deep for 3 straight plays because you will more than likely score. - Field goal kicking. Need say anymore? - I don't have a problem with the play calling so much. Some questionable calls, but that happens in any football game. - Didn't capitalize on turnovers. Trice fumbled an interception which would have given us great field position and we would have more than likely scored. - How did we not put more pressure on the QB. With almost half their starters out, how did we not have good play? - MISSED TACKLES! I can't even count how many missed tackles we had. - Running back. What the heck were they doing out there? Run the ball down their damn throats. They looked like a bunch of sissies out there. I have never seen this from them before and can't understand why it happened tonight. - I will get flack for this, but the refs. Ohio constantly got away with un-sportsman like conduct and holds. I think one time a DL kicked Derek. On most of Ohio's screens they were holding and it wasn't called. The refs didn't lose it for us, we lost it, but they didn't do a good job calling the game.

We didn't make them last year and we aren't making them this year. Unless it's an extra point, then just don't do it. Sincerely, Everbody

Just watched it. I thought it was amazing. You can't help but to love Coach Mac after seeing his passion for North Texas football. I also have to give kudos to Derek Thompson. He seems so confident and poised. I wish nothing but the best for him and hope he succeeds. This documentary is such great exposure for our program and is exactly what we needed. Times are finally changing around here.

This is the game North Texas needs to win to turn the tide. Ohio is beatup from the Louisville game. They have 3 starters out total. 2 offensive linemen and 1 linebackup. If we can exploit these weaknesses and get pressure on the QB, then I think we win this one. North Texas - 24 Ohio - 17

I have to give it to Houston. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have The First 48 TV show. Credit where credit is due.

I'm honestly surprised that DT as the starter was a topic of discussion. I'm starting to wonder whether we may see a 2 QB rotation at some point depending on the situation.

Real talk though.....I bet the SEC is strongly considering adding us after this past weekend.
