  1. He sure is posting a lot of positive tweets lately. Question, no info.
  2. Couldn't agree with you more
  3. Just tuned in and this is rough to watch.
  4. So excited about this hire! Great job Rick V and welcome home Jalie!
  5. I don't mean to be a negative Nancy, but this year is probably the least excited I've ever been about spring ball. The fact that there has been no change at the most needed position from last year to now is crazy to me.
  6. Watching LSU right now reminds me of the good ole days.
  7. Never understood the whole Greek life thing and really glad I didn't considering all the issues lately.
  8. This officially ruined my morning.
  9. I would love to be a fly on the wall during an in-home recruiting visit. I would love to see how they pitch NT. How in the world did we let Nick & Chris Orr out of our grasp? We weren't even in their "top" schools! We should've been pitching about how they could continue to build the dynasty that Zach Orr built. They would've been royalty at North Texas! I know there's only so much recruiters can control, but it just doesn't make sense to me.
  10. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/12114523/kobe-bryant-says-european-players-more-skilled-americans-blames-aau Nothing against Tony Mitchell, but he is a prime example of the AAU failing to teach the proper fundamentals of basketball.
  11. As much as I hate the Spurs, I would much rather him go there than almost any other team...except the Mavs of course. There are a few areas where the Spurs are better....flopping and crying after every foul.
  12. Well after reading more into it, rumors say that Phoenix will waive Mitchell. Playing for Detroit does nothing but hurt Tony. He needs to be with a coach that can help him develop.
  13. http://www.fantasypros.com/nba/news/19514/tony-mitchell-traded-to-phoenix-anthony-tolliver.php This can only be a good thing. Detroit has proven that they don't know how to develop talent. Good luck Tony!! This post has been promoted to an article

  15. He just scored a TD for the Raiders!
  16. Buffalo ranked 96th in points allowed last year with an avg of 31.6 points/game.
  17. I spent a little time Twitter stalking him yesterday and one tweet in particular said something like "My mom is already telling people where I'm committing next week". This was a few days ago, so it sounds like he had already made up his mind prior to visiting us this weekend. I'm a little more pessimistic today.
  18. Always was a fan of Coach Dodge, always will be. Unfortunately it didn't work out, but I nothing but respect for him and Riley.
  19. Sounds like we'll know soon enough. It definitely help that Ochs committed to us.
  20. Saw it! He's having a great year so far!
  21. I'm really not that worried. I think everybody is overreacting to this hire. We all said the same thing when June Jones was hired and look how that turned out. Also, I can think of another coach who hired several high school coaches. If I recall correctly, that also turned out horribly. We've never gotten lots of highly ranked players, so we need to focus on coaching players up rather than focus on what SMU is doing.
  22. I agree CMJ. It was the right call. Boneheaded play by Zac though. If we would've had a decent QB I think we would be bowling this year.
  23. I wish McCarney would've been the coach when I was in school. I woulda been the starting QB and wouldn't have anymore school loans. :/
  24. Most of those items listed should've been done a long time ago. I think it's safe to say we were playing catch up from the years of neglect. Not to take anything away from the athletic dept. on these amazing facilities, but I think a lot of us have problems when it comes to making the right coaching hires. We have a history of "sticking with coaches" until it's too late because we don't want to buyout the contract. (ie. Benford, Dodge & Shanice Stephens) Just take a look at how far our basketball team has fallen because of this. On top of that, our successful coaches don't get paid enough to stick around. They are typically gone as soon as another offer comes through the door.
