Not to beat a dead horse here, but it just shows how poorly we have done on the the field as an entire athletic dept. Outside of SMU basketball, which is even questionable, they have done nothing to impose their dominance over NT. Had we just taken care of business or been mediocre, we would have probably made strides in turning around the perception when comparing NT to SMU.

Absolutely! Lets make it as easy as we can for Alumni to come back.

1. Aftergame Music - This has been mentioned before, but college kids would be all over this. It can't be some small garage band though. Needs to be a regional act at least. The other added benefit is that NT has long been considered a music school, so this is something that non sports fans could even appreciate. Make stadium entry required to attend the concert. 2. Nearby Attractions (Longer Term) - We need a hotel/attractions nearby. I live in Austin, so when I come in for a game I'm usually traveling from Dallas the day of the game, which makes for a very long day. We need a legit hotel with some decent restaurants/bars nearby (within walking distance). All my college friends love coming back to Denton, but there's not a lot of decent hotels to choose from. 3. Alumni Travel & Tailgate Package - Put together a special package for Alumni that includes game tickets, hotel, food/drinks, transportation, and maybe throw in some other swag. 4. All You Can Eat Seats - Because lets be honest....people love to eat while watching football. 5. First Responder Half Price Tickets - Somebody else already said this, but what a great idea!!

The AD at the time should have said "Sure you can use apogee stadium for your video, but in return we want a concert after a home game." That would have been the smart thing to do.

Your idea of comfortable and mine must be completely different. I don't feel comfortable with a RS Junior who hasn't been able to crack the 2 deep in his career. He has been passed by any QB who has come and gone.

Shanbour damn near winning the starting job?! Sorry man, but anything you heard to make you think that was just coach speak and to keep the players playing hard during spring camp. I think we can all agree that our depth at QB is very weak, but Shanbour is not an FBS QB. Why do you think we added O'Hara?

Morris may not have played a ton while at Alabama, but he nearly won the starting position battle last year. That in and of itself proves he can be an FBS QB.

I will get a zillion negatives for this, but what's with the Shanbour obsession? I'm sure he's a great kid, but he hasn't proven that he could be considered as a starter. Therefore if he is our second string QB, then Vito is right in saying we don't have much after Morris. Sorry but the truth hurts.

Just goes to show how much confidence the coaches have in the QB's outside of Morris.

Definitely an all time favorite. And he's from Mesquite (my home town) so that makes it even sweeter.
